Really Good Backstory

At first, I wasn't going to listen to this installment because I thought it might not matter what the story was about Nash's brother. But I am glad I did listen. I found myself wishing there was more story and I thoroughly enjoyed this very short story, hardly a novella. Good narrator, too.
I love this series.

Great backstory on Tod/Nash/Sabine!

I really enjoyed this story, we get to learn so so much about Tod, he is one of my favorite characters in this series. I was concerned that A. Ronconi was not narrating this book but pleasantly surprised by the reader. He did a fabulous job and I am very very picky and hard to please when it comes to audiobooks!

This is a MUST if you are reading the series.

A Must Read

This short story about Todd. Oh my goodness where to start. I don't want to give any spoilers cause I know how much I hate when someone gives too much of a book then I already have a started opinion in the back of my mind. But I have to say after reading this short story I am saying eh to Nash and am leaning toward team Todd..😉

Quick prequel

This is a quick little prequel to the Soul Screamers series. It focuses mainly around Tod, but there are flashes of background information about Nash as well. There's nothing here that's needed to continue on with the full-length novels -- you won't be missing any key information and left scratching your head later if you skip this -- but fans of the series will still be interested.

This was published between the third and fourth Soul Screamers novels and contains a tiny hint of set-up for the fourth book, but it could probably be read any time after the second. This story contains a slight spoiler that gives away a little bit of info from the second book, so I would recommend reading the first two books before this unless that wouldn't bother you.

This has a male narrator to reflect the temporary shift of the main character to Tod, and I thought he was good. But in the main novels, Tod's voice is all scratchy. In this, Tod's voice is normal and Nash's voice is the scratchy one!

Loved it

This story gives you great insight on Tod (after reading all of the books before this). I love getting to know each character and how they've got to this point in their lives.

Great story about Tod

After reading reviews, I added this story to my library and I am so glad I did. While I agree that the narrator's "Nash" voice is off-putting, the story line provides some great background information about Tod. I do think that one could listen to this story before any of the other books, but I think I would have enjoyed it even more before book 3 to understand Tod and Nash's relationship.

The POV of Todd

I really enjoyed the POV of Todd and getting a look at how he ended up a reaper. This story has made the character grow on me more and look forward to seeing where he ends up in the series.

Great Series

Would you consider the audio edition of Reaper to be better than the print version?

This book may be on the short side but it's very important to the overall story. I loved this series and I would actually, listen to it again. Considering I listen to books and buy every month-every other month its a very good thing when one book or one series stands out above the crowd. I'm not a particular fan of, "tween-teen" stories but this on was great. Its worth a listen! Now if only Rachel Vincent would write more books it would put the cherry on top of the sundae.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved listening to his life before he became a reaper and the reason why he was the one who ended up dying that day.
