About this listen

Molly is back from the dead. And now even more capable. But the transformation is not without more serious issues.

Problems that not even ADAM can help with.

Feeling cursed, she undergoes a vision quest. The rest of the team prepare for the General's clandestine assignment back at the base.

But with the fate of the Federation hanging in the balance, a question arises.

Can Molly handle this next mission?

Please note: This book contains cursing, amusing cursing, but cursing nonetheless. If bad language offends you, perhaps this book is not for you.

Set on the foundation laid by the Kurtherian Gambit series, The Ascension Myth tells an entirely new story in the Age of Expansion - when the Etheric Empire is fast becoming the Etheric Federation with all of the trials and tribulations that come with bringing together different peoples, systems, and ideals.

Great series and looking for the next audible book

I have listened to the first five books in this series of 10 and am impatiently waiting for the next audible book #6 in this series. I love Molly and her crew and can't wait to hear how every team member grows and changes over the course of the series. I hope it doesn't stop at only 10 books.

Molly Continues to grow, meanwhile the team grows

Molly is growing both internally in her head, and emotionally. One of the team even comment on how she seems more human.
Molly isn't the only one growing and changing. The team is growing emotionally and going in different directions. They have new team mates that are shape sifters They seem to have a new place in the higher-achier of the federation command. The head General seems to have orders for them. To stop a war. It's tough stuff. The middle ends with one of the team in prison. Of coarse Molly will never leave a man or woman down, so she and her team use a crazy plan to get him out. Which barely works. Its on your sit listening. Either to Molly's thoughts, or to the wild plans and actions. Wild Ride, My advise, Strip in and put your hands in the air just like riding a roller coaster and turn the book on. . .

I'm out.. 1 thru 4 was ok. a bit boring but ok.

You know if I wanted a liberal indoctrination I'd go back to university. it's a sci fi series not a Jame fonda movie! grrrr
How could they go from Bethany Ann and her bad ass ways to this chick? She says things like "We need to find a way to not kill anyone." Not just the innocent mind you but anyone... Or this gem "There has to be a better way to get peace other than thru all that icky violence!" (that last part was a slight exaggeration but not much. lol) plus the MC supposedly idolized the queen bitch since childhood... uhhh what?
I can handle a slightly boring rehash of Bethany Ann (seriously another AI hijacker in the brain? i think that makes 3 or 4 now anderle!) if it's in the KG universe but if your going to add the unrealistic hugs over bullets bullshit to the series I just can't do it...
Oh well as for me I'm on to a different universe! I'll be back when Anderle gives up the whole outreach/mentoring program and starts writing full-time again. All of his solo shit rocks!. I can't really blame him tho the more product the more $$$ right? He's just like any good drug dealer oh I meant business man... and yes I'm a junkie lol.. I just hate when you cut the shit so much man!! I bet a lot of you got that! lol... later

Hippie Warriors? wtf

I have to start this review by stating that I wrote this review when I was only half way through. If my opinion changes I will modify my review.

That said, I've read over 100 of the books in the Kurtherian Gambit Universe. I have loved all of them so much. I saw that there was a boxed set for the first four in this branch (Ascension Myth). I bought it and the first book really wasn't very good but I had bought the boxed-set so I read all four. I didn't care for books two or three either but book four seemed to be a bit better and I was optimistic. I bought book five with much hope. However Molly and her team are irritating. What was the author thinking... let’s build a kick ass team and then hamper them with the attitude of peace loving hippies. It seems this crew should form a commune and become pacifists, I mean they are pretty much there already meditation… and non-lethal aggression (kind of pointless). I’m very glad I didn’t start with this branch series of the Kurtherian Gambit Universe, I would’ve never read any of the others.

The characters are weaker versions of Bethany Ann and the Bitches, only rather then kicking ass they should hold hands a sing Kumbaya. I can say at this point I pretty much hate this crew and unless the second half of the book is completely different then this will be the last Ascension Myth book I read, it might be the last Ell Leigh Clarke book I read, but I did think that The Second Dark Ages was an ok read. So time will tell on that one.

Bottom line: If you like other books in the KG Universe you might want to skip this series.
