About this listen

Part 3 of 3 from "Reign of the Ancients" from the Fantasy-Adventure Series "The Onis Chronicles"

The Rising:

The time of the rising is nigh! Following the Silver Monarch’s preemptive strike, the land has no choice but to come together if they are ever to be free from the tyranny. With her newly United friends, the prophesied elf maiden endeavors to recruit the Human and Elven Kingdoms and bring all the races together for the ultimate confrontation with the ruthless dragons. Unfortunately, with Aeris aware of the elf maiden’s plans, the Silver Monarch aims to strike them down before they ever get that chance. In order to bring the land together and face the Reigning Ancient Dragons before it’s too late, the comrades are faced with a difficult decision. Laila’s heart is torn in two as they realize that, if they have any chance of succeeding in time, there will need to be a change in plans, separating the friends while they embark on the final phase of the prophecy.

Join the comrades with their new United Bonds and Powers as they prepare to make a final stand to end the Reign of the Ancients, all while discovering even more about themselves and their destinies.

Reign of the Ancients Series:

A war between the ancient dragons of Onis and the elves has been raging for nearly a millennium, but the dragons' hatred of the two-leggeds is spilling over to all the races, including the humans, dwarves, and drow. As the tyranny of the ancient dragons terrorizes all the two-leggeds into hiding, the very land of Onis is dying around them. After a thousand years of war, a prophesied elf with great power is sent to confront the ancients and restore the land in a quest for peace between all the races. Will she overcome the dragons' hatred and fulfill her destiny? Or will the land face an even greater danger yet to come?

The Final Stand

I enjoyed book three as much as the first two books in the series. I admired the creative spark which joined the riders and their dragons to become United which then resulted in an increase in their powers. I felt sorrow as the companions needed to separate in order to cover more of Onis to find more supporters for their final confrontation with the Silver Monarch and her army. I rooted for Laila and her determination to bring peace to the land of Onis. I liked the characters. My attention was kept focused on the story by all the twists and turns. I was entertained by Aaron Smith's narrative skills and enjoyed his performance a lot. I thought R. E. Davies' performance, which provided a voice for Laila, was a wonderful addition to the narration of the audiobook. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions on this audiobook.
