Who knew that digging for the truth could turn deadly so fast....

Ex-Special Forces operator Brian Ackerman lives for the danger his job at Iniquus provides. At least he did - until she walked into their briefing room. The woman who stole his heart and disappeared is now his new assignment. Protecting her will be easy. Convincing her she never should've left him in the first place will be much trickier....

Sophia Abadi never wanted to leave Brian. She had no choice. Anyone who gets too close to her is in grave danger, and she wasn't about to risk his safety. But now, she needs his help safeguarding Syrian conflict relics from the terrorists who kidnapped and murdered her colleagues. She can only hope she doesn’t get him killed in the process.

But they'll soon realize not everything is as straightforward as it seems - and Brian will be forced to discover just how far he's willing to go for a second chance at happily ever after with Sophia.

Contains mature themes.

Great read, so much suspense

I really like the banter between Brian and the rest of the crew. It was so real and funny. This is a fun and very suspenseful.

Enjoyable read

I enjoyed this one. It was entertaining and interesting with the two sets of roles for the Iniquus operators. Brian and Sofia know each other from one night about a year ago and while they felt a real, deep connection, Sofia ran and Brian didn’t have the information in order to track her down. Sofia has been going from one bad thing to another and just trying to move forward one step at a time. Brian is assigned to Sofia and he is trying to stay neutral and find the truth, which will hopefully clear her. The FBI has hired Iniquus to figure out if one or both Sofia and Nadia are dirty and helping steal and sell relics illegally. The AACP has also hired Iniquus to provide protection for them while out on digs and to help keep them safe. This one was interesting with the different parts. Sofia seemed to have things and people coming at her from multiple angles while also keeping secrets which looked like they could make her culpable to the FBI. I enjoyed the story and how it all played out and can’t wait for the next one.

It's good, but not as good as first in series

I do believe I have found a new author to add to my favorites list..
I will say that this story is good but not as good as the first in the series.
The hints at the supernatural were a bit weird, and the ending was definitely NOT expected, so I will give it a solid:
4.5 for overall story,
4.5 for Narration, and
4.5 for story originality.

Relic

I love this series by Fiona Quinn. The individual reading the book does an excellent job.

So so

Not as good as her other stories. Too much unbelievable drama. Would also like a prologue.

hhhmmmm

Starts REALLY slow, about the first third was hard to wade through. incredible in that it's hard to imagine anyone could maintain their sanity with all she's been through. The 5hing that took it from 4 stars to 3 was the number of ppl attacking this woman at once: a serial killer, a stalker kind of relative and the FBI all at once.... Just a bit much
