Publisher's summary

Years before Trip Wiley could be seen on movie screens all over the world, he could be seen sitting in the desk behind me in my high school English class.

This was back in 1990, and I cite the year only to avoid dumbfounding you when references to big hair or stretch pants are mentioned. Although, come to think of it, I am from New Jersey, which may serve as explanation enough. We were teenagers then, way back in a time before anyone, himself included, could even dream he'd turn into the Hollywood commodity that he is today.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you who Trip Wiley is. But on the off chance you've been living under a rock for the past decade, he's the actor found at the top of every casting director's wish list. He's incredibly talented and insanely gorgeous, the combination of which has made him very rich, very famous, and very desirable.

I can't confirm any of the gossip from his early years out in Tinseltown, but based on what I knew of his life before he was famous, I can tell you that the idea of Girls-Throwing-Themselves-At-Trip is not a new concept.

I should know. I was one of them. And my life hasn't been the same since.

Contains mature themes.

This was pretty good.

I really just read this to get me thought the rest of my work shift, just a quick short read and it was free and i saw the 2nd book in the series was also free so it made it an easy choice but it was a really good book. The author did a good job! It wasn’t too immature but it is a YA books so no real spice either. They do have some moments but the details are very little.

The Narrators did an excellent job. The voices fit the characters and the speed was good for the reading.

The two main characters are young and both have ideas about where life will go but emotions happen anyway. It’s a nice beginning story to introduce the characters for the series and find out where it all started and where they each came from. It doesn’t really leave a cliffhanger in the traditional sense but you do wonder what could have been, but just curious enough to want to move on to book 2.

I am looking forward to the next book.

I gave it 4 stars only because i need a tiny bit more spice in my books and there were a few spots that were a tad bit slow. This isn’t against the author, the story is good i am just not a huge fan of YA because i like more spice.

One of my favorites

Some of the topics are dated but overall a feel good read. The voice was a mismatch. Needed to sound younger.

It was a good story

I’m not going to lie I only read this because my boyfriend’s mother is the author but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself infatuated with the plot and characters and needing to know what happens next.

Great narrator, even better story!

This was a great book! It’s outside of my normal genre, but it was a pleasant surprise. Likable, relatable characters marry perfectly with a story that was so engrossing, it felt like I was part of the gang. Even though the characters are MUCH younger than myself, I couldn’t help seeing parallels with many different iterations of my own life. Can’t wait to listen to the next installment!

Memories

Loved that I felt like I was there. I graduated in 1991 so very much enjoyed all the flashbacks. ❤️
