About this listen

From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn comes a heartfelt romantic comedy about new beginnings and finding the romanticized happily ever after in the most unlikely of places.

Hollywood screenwriter Sawyer Walsh knows a good love story when he sees it. But when it comes to real life romance, he’s a mess. That’s how he finds himself standing at the altar…as his ex-girlfriend ties the knot with his very famous best friend. The pressure, the resentment, the media coverage—it’s all too much—and before he knows exactly what he’s doing, he’s making a run for it, leaving a shocked congregation and flashing cameras in his wake.

Needing to lie low amid the media fallout, Sawyer lands in the charming town of Canoodle, California, where he crosses paths with Fallon Long, who runs the Canoodle Cove Cabins, a family-owned business and Sawyer’s new short-term residence. Overwhelmed with renovations and her long list of responsibilities, Fallon is struggling to make ends meet while attempting to bring the cabins back to their original glory. So when Sawyer arrives, she is grateful for the income, but immediately writes him off as just another vapid Hollywood hack, until he begins to prove her wrong at every turn.

As Fallon comes closer to saving the family business, an undeniable bond forms between her and the handsome screenwriter. But the pressures of her family obligations and Sawyer’s notoriety might prove to be too much for anyone to handle. Could Canoodle be the setting for a new romance—or is true love just a Hollywood cliché?

SO cute!!!

It’s not spicy like her other books, but I still loved this book! The story was adorable and I was obsessed! The characters are cute, but there is also some good banter, plus the grandfather made the story!!! Totally recommend for a fun cute read!

ok

the book was overall ok, my problem is that the heroine pretends emotional cheating isn't a thing. Yes,the relationship with her ex should have ended long ago, but they were still dating while she was checking out and hugging the hero. Then she acts innocent like cheating is not in her character and the hero should know that towards the end of the book. Like excuse my language but she was eye F***ing the hero while she had a boyfriend. There is enough blame to spread around, she is not the only injured party.

LOVE, LOVE LOVE ❤️

This was such a good story! I love the characters, the plot, the ending. This is the type of story I could listen to all the time, with more story than graphic heat.

The H was a good guy who had the appropriate amount of respect for a woman. The h was well rounded and kind, but not sappy, a pushover, or too introspective. She also was not week and did NOT do stupid things that would cause unnecessary drama.

This was just a really good story! oh, and Narration was PERFECT! Both of these narrators were new to me, so I will definitely be looking for more of their work.

The Best!

I never give a book 5 stars. However, if I could, this book would get 10 stars. It was simply the best. ❤️❤️❤️

• Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book! I got a little bored at the end. I felt like that because this book was already a slower burn. I didn't feel it needed the fight at the end. I was expecting it, however. So, unfortunately, I skipped over the last few chapters. I understood the basis of the fight, and it was fixed. I will be completely honest. Jaz (the best friend of Fallon) she ruined the book for me. She was an A$swhole. I get she was the crazy friend and their were parts of the book she was funny in but I felt she needed to be in a padded room.
I loved Tank and Sully and Fallon's Dad's I wish they would have been in more of the book.
Sawyer was amazing! He was such a great guy totally swoon worthy. He was such a trooper and put up with a lot! I am glad I read and listened to the book. It was a sweet story.

Narrators:
Samantha is amazing, period! I love her, and she can do no wrong. Alastair is a new to me narrator, and I really enjoyed him! I will definitely be listening to him again. He has a great voice.
