Publisher's summary

Ren Lewis is the most powerful man in the world and he's about to prove it. God, Ren believes, has battled him his entire life, trying to use him as a pawn or punish him for his wrong doings. This man, with powers most can't fathom, has been content to use his skills to help humanity. However, when God makes a move that will carve out Ren's heart for the rest of his life, he makes the decision to finally outmaneuver the Almighty Creator.

Using technology, philosophy, quantum physics, psychology and spirituality, Ren attempts to do something that millions of people throughout history have only dreamed of. Because he's a strategic man, Ren plans to break God's laws and be the first human to ever do the unspeakable.

This last installment in the Ren series is the final evolution in a man's life who thought he never should have been born. Ren's journey teaches him that not only does he have a heart, but that as powerful as he is, he is nothing without the love in his life. Ren Lewis will gain the power to hack the system to beat God at his own game, but will he be successful or banished to solitude?

I LOVE REN LEWIS!

If you could sum up Ren: The Monster's Death in three words, what would they be?

PERFECT

Have you listened to any of Tim Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

i have only listened to him as Ren in Sarah Noffke's series but he's PERFECT as Ren
I love his style of reading and he brings the character to life
HE IS REN

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

i moved to tears when Ren was with his Mom again

Any additional comments?

I LOVE REN LEWIS!
I LOVE SARAH NOFFKE!
I LOVE TIM CAMPBELL as REN LEWIS!

first of all, let me say this ... if you haven't read or listened to any of Sarah's books ... you really SHOULD!
trust me, you will not regret it but you might regret not doing so sooner! 😉

Sarah is one of those authors you need to read, you need to own the books and the audiobooks and anything and everything associated with them! SERIOUSLY!
This woman is a genius and it's not just my opinion either ... I love her books so much i have gotten my friend hooked by buying her a few of the audiobook sets ... SHE is now hooked

Sarah's books need to be in TV or MOVIE format! WHO THE HECK DO I HAVE TO TALK TO ABOUT THIS????
seriously, anyone know?

This book, REN: The Monster's Death, wraps everything up nicely and emotionally! (have tissues ready) and has a GREAT segue into the next series (Awesome .. can't wait)

I love Ren Lewis ... he's not the kind of man you DREAM about meeting but i think if you are blessed enough to meet someone like him you'd certainly feel that way ... blessed!
I do admit you'd have to appreciate his mind, his sarcasm, his dark whit, his ego and his pure awesomeness!
I dare you not to read or listen to his story and NOT love or adore him!

this book was the most emotional for me to listen to but it filled me with a lot of hope and warmth

Ren's stories have some surprisingly great life advice in them ... no, really, they do! and I often found I smiled or felt better for listening to his words ... Ren isn't a man to give stupid advice nor is he one to offer it all the time so when he does, it's always worth listening to ...
(psst, Sarah ... some of his advice is advice i've often given before ... Ren and I have some of the same ideas ... I must be awesome too ... haha)

I do hope this isn't the last of Ren .. a cameo? something? Gosh, it's like losing a friend but one you are grateful to have met and one that made you a wiser and better person for having known ... Thank you Ren
XO

Thank you Sarah for bringing him into my life

Ok ... I need to write a letter to those movie/tv ppl in Hollywood

Dear movie and tv producers,

PLEASE read Sarah Noffke's books, you'll love them! TRUST ME!
these stories will make amazingly wonderful and entertaining tv/movies for the whole family ...
These stories are creative and unique and I promise you that you'll be thoroughly entertained by these relate-able characters that are also extraordinary with their abilities and the challenges they must face to save their world and ours!

These stories are easily compared to others like Hunger Game, the divergent series, twilight, the mortal instruments, etc ... addictive and delightful tales

and of course, REN's stories .. that's more of an adult story but i know I'd love to see who was cast and how it would look on my tv screen

I will not go quietly into the night

of course Ren would find a way to end his life in a feat of impossibility. there are moments with characters from another series that made me cry my eyes out but it was so worth it. this is the perfect ending for our favorite snarky man and what a way to go! I'm pretty sure Sarah noffke is some kind of evil genius to hook us on characters that turn us into an emotional mess. bravo and well done! I highly recommend reading the other books in this series first, there is no adult content, but there is plenty of cursing and snark.

The end of Ren

I loved this concision of this great story, Ren has become one of my favorite characters, he's the kind of guy you hate to love and love to hate. My heart literally broke with Ren in this story, but he accomplished the unthinkable.

The perfect goodbye

Previously on Ren: The Monster's Adventure... Ren is surprised with a traditional road trip style family vacation, and along the way we discover that Dahlia has been diagnosed with cancer. During his time on the road, he is haunted by his thoughts and emotions while contemplating how to deal with what is happening with his love Dahlia. Now that her illness has progressed, will Ren succeed where others have failed in order to stay with Dahlia? Let the ugly crying begin!

Wow! Having no idea where the story would go with Dahlia, I was just dumb struck with how Noffke played this story out. Ren is pretty brilliant, but I never imagined he would attempt what he has in order to stay with Dahlia. He was never one for words, or displays of affection, but no holds barred this time, the stakes were raised and Ren showed up! Once it was apparent what was happening, he didn't hold back any punches, and that's when the feels started and crying began. I have loved Ren from the first book because he is brutally honest, smart, and confident, a mans man, but this side of him was new and took me by surprise with how much I needed to see his heart. And also, knowing that Rynold, Ren's father was now a live-in part of the family I never once worried for Adelaide or the baby, but with that being said, the new level 5 case involves investigating someone creating what?! Ya lets not forget the Lucidite Institutes current cases, my God!

As for endings and Ren's story, this was perfect. It's always hard to say goodbye to a series, but Ren deserved a happily ever after and Noffke delivered.

Narrator Review

Tim Campbell drove the heart break home in the crack of his voice. He played the heart broken, and love sick Ren with brilliant style. I will miss you Tim/Ren. I hope to hear you in an audiobook in my near future. Thanks for the memories...

Ren like none other!

OMGoodness! Was this not the best book ever written on Ren? I was blown away by all aspects of this book. Sarah Noffke knows how to keep this reader glued to the headset! I can't let any secrets out as I don't want to spoil the ending for any one but this book gave me perspective on an event in my life right now and I know I can help someone through it by sharing a part of this book with them. Thanks for that Sarah. This story is moving, it is memorable and it is joyful.

Tim is an outstanding reader. His voice is perfectly Ren. No one else could do it half as well.

This book is HIGHLY recommended!

I wasn't sure I'd be able to handle it

Ren: The Monster's Death is the final installment in the utterly awesome Ren series. I don't think it's necessary to provide a summary of this part. Because this is book 4 you'll either be familiar with Ren's story or if not, you really need to start with "Ren: The Man Behind the Monster" and follow this series in order. It is such a fun but also emotional rollercoaster ride. The entire journey has been a full five-star listen for me, but with this one, Sarah Noffke really has outdone herself. This installment exceeded my expectations. I've always enjoyed the humor in these books, but with this final part, Sarah Noffke has created an immensely poignant, affecting and philosophical tale about one man's refusal to be parted from the love of his life no matter what. Yes, this is a dystopian / fantasy story, which is a genre I don't tend to pick very often, but I've absolutely loved my outing into the world of the Dream Travelers. It is suspenseful, mysterious and magical and delves deeply into topics such as love, loss, hope, commitment and sacrifice. It is such a touching tale, an exciting cross-genre experience, it is easy to enjoy and to take something away from it and become emotionally captivated even for non-fantasy readers/listeners like myself.

When I saw the title, I wasn't sure I'd be able to handle it considering my ridiculously absurd feelings for Ren, a self-centered, obnoxious and rude man whose sarcasm is out of this world. But Ren has been on a tremendous journey and has grown a lot as is evident from his relationships with his partner Dahlia, with his daughter Adelaide, with his father and his grandson as well as with his boss at the Institute. On a side note, I thought the part of the storyline regarding President Douglas was wicked. Really wonderfully done, Ms Noffke. What a great way to include current concerns! The ending left me sad (because there will be no further Ren books) but also delighted. I am now looking forward to the author's new book, Alpha Wolf, which will feature Ren's daughter Adelaide and will further explore the case Ren had started working on. I'm hoping some of the other well-loved characters from the Dream Traveler world will also make an appearance.

Tim Campbell once again narrates this installment, and like the other audiobooks in this series, he completely owns it. He is Ren. There isn't one thing that I could criticize. Superb performance. One of the saddest things about finishing this series, I will truly miss listening to Tim Campbell/Ren. There were no issues with the audio production.

Absolutely brillient

This final book in the Ren series exceeds all expectations, it has a soul of its own and will tear your heart out with its poignant beauty. It is a story of loss on many different levels, of love, consequences, sacrifice, hope and the search for completeness; it is truly breathtaking. Ren is the same sarcastic, snarky, humorous, arrogant guy we have all grown to love but we also get to experience a bit more of his tender side in this book as well. You cannot help but adore this character who has been more alive to readers than any other; he has so much depth and so many layers that you cannot fail to be mesmerized by his determination, strength, and abilities. Tim Campbell once again does an excellent job of bringing Ren to life in the audiobook. He manages to capture Ren’s character perfectly and even when you are only reading the book you can still hear Tim’s rendition of him in your head. This story is full of surprises, breath holding moments, parts that make you rant and others that bring you to tears; it is a truly remarkable story. This author continues to amaze me with her ability to draw emotions from readers and put visuals into one’s mind. She makes her characters seem so real that you feel a personal connection to them, they become your friend, you are totally invested in their lives and you experience their love, fear, hope, pain and loss as if it was your own. Her masterful storytelling will draw you in and it will not let you go. I can never get enough of Sarah Noffke’s work. I would advise that you listen to the other books in this excellent series first, just so that you can fully appreciate the astounding brilliance of this character and his story.

My alter ego

Ren is back and this time the love of his life is fighting for her life against cancer. So Ren being Ren has decided to take on God and we will have to see if his journey takes him where he hopes his heart wants to go. In this the last book of the Ren series I feel like I am losing a part of myself, I have grown to think of Ren as them monster that lives in me, the one I can’t let out, but that inner voice that makes all the snarky comments in my head that if anyone actually heard I would be fired and have very few friends. He is the person I wish I really could be sometimes but am too nice to ever be. Ren you are loved and will be missed by so many more people than you will ever know. This series has been so awesome and such a wild ride I hate to say goodbye so we won’t. I hope Lucian grows up really fast so there will be many spin offs and soon. Also, narrator Tim Campbell, is so great, his way with Ren and these stories is phenomenal, if you have never listen to one you have to give it a go, and he really is the best around. There will never be another Ren Lewis.

We hope to see you again Ren Lewis

What did you love best about Ren: The Monster's Death?

So much, it is hard to pick just one. I would say the heart to heart he had with his daughter before he left and the time he spent with his mom.

What other book might you compare Ren: The Monster's Death to and why?

None because I think that is rude to do so.

What does Tim Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He IS the voice of Ren Lewis. No one else would have done this series justice. He is truly amazing.

Any additional comments?

Ren 4
Ren Lewis and others at the Institute had vetted the Presidential candidates and has chosen Douglas the billionaire clown with a low IQ over Jill Rodgers.Jill according to Roya’s report will create real change in a position that has actual power. Douglas’s personality is more moldable and easier to control and monitor to ensure the safety of the nation. Ren of course thinks the man is an idiot because Ren had bypassed hundred of Secret service agents and this guy is asking all the wrong questions. Ren does not employ his mind control he simply “tells Doug that he is the man who is gong to help him win the election, but that he as to do everything Ren tells him from this point forward. Ren gives Doug ”a number he is to call every day to give updates on important issues,Doug was also told what will happen to him if he failed to follow his instructions and comply. Doug works for the Lucidites organization now.. He asks Ren if he can still the retina scanner security bill? For all government facilities, Ren said sure and left.

Adelaide finished at the top of her class and is now an agent of the Lucite Institute. She is already getting board with the level one cases.Trent the man to took over Ren’s position as the Head Strategist thinks she is ready for class 3 or above cases. Ren disagreed. She has so much potential to be a Great Agent. Ren is proud of her.

Ren is also working on something special, not for the Lucidite Institution yet he is using it’s recourses. Aiden is helping him with experiments and research. It is something to help his beloved Dahlia. She is his true love, he can not imagine life without her. It won’t be like when he lost his mom to cancer, he felt so helpless, and could only see the approaching death when he was with his mom, he didn’t know how to help him mom. Her death nearly destroyed him even though he would never admit that.
Ren’s snark is still intact but over the past 12 months he has almost become kind. It may have to do with having his daughter and grandson and Pop’s now living under the same roof with Ren & Dahlia. Pop’s (Renard Ren’s dad) Is Lucien full time nanny he is really good with the little tike, his great grandson and cares for Dahlia’s needs he protectively looks after them both. Ren just doesn’t understand why with a ten thousand foot mansion why Lucien the “little terror” as Ren likes to call him prefers to play, leaving his toys in Ren’s personal space, his office and his favorite plaid armchair.
Dahlia get more frail every day, her body is being ravished by the cancer, bone thin and pale but still beautiful. She keeps the room she shares with Ren cold, it helps her want to stay under the covers, therefore staying in bed like the Doctor had ordered. Time is running out and Ren know this. He also knows the grief will be short lived and they will have plenty of time together.
Ren is working so hard, he is a shell of whom he has always been. He is tired yet he surges forward bot at the Institute and on his special project. So it will be time to fill Dahlia in on the details.
Ren ask Aiden to create some technology for him.He wants to turn a Middling into a Dream Traveler, it will take both process and drugs.Aiden tells Ren what he is asking is an impossible task. Ren counters that that is where Scientist fall short. They always see the can’t .
I am not going to tell you anymore of the details of the how or what. I will say Adelide and her father had a touching moment, Ren met a few people to help him make the transition one being his mom who had died in his arms all those years ago. It was sweet that he was able to tell her that he loved her, something he had longed to do after her death. Will he find Dahlia his true love? Will they have a forever after? Will they get to a plaine of Dream travel where he can come back or will his loved ones be able to dream travel to see both Ren & Dahlia? Some of these questions will be answered in this book, some we will have to wait and see in future books like Alpha Wolf, where we can check up on how Adelaide is doing with the werewolf case her dad had turned over to her care before he went.
I love the character of Ren Lewis and for that reason I will not say goodbye to him. I don’t believe he is gone for good. I hope to see this beloved character in future works of Sarah Noffke’s.
Mrs. Noffke is a tremendously talented Author, she is at a level of intelligent writing that other’s strive to reach. She makes it seem so easy with her intriguing tales and adventures of the Dream Traveler world. She knows when and where to pull your heart strings. She has left me “Tongue tied” twice with her series. Something that does not happen near enough. Her books remind me I am alive and accesses emotions I forgot I had.I am a veracious reader and my yearly average is between 76 and 100 books a year not including manuals and journals. Only one other Author moves me with their words like Mrs. Noffke does, that is Jack Wallen. Like Sarah’s books the story stays with you long after the ending. I am so thankful for These beautiful works of art Sarah Noffke has put out into the world and shared with us so generously, I have now read three of her series and each is unique unto it’s self even though all have very talented Dream Travelers in them and we do see some of our favorite characters visiting in other series. That is not an easy thing to do for an Author to keep the complexity of it all so together in their minds. Thank you again for sharing this wonderful world with us Mrs. Noffke.
