About this listen

Sharon Hinck, best-selling author of The Secret Life of Becky Miller, continues the humorous yet inspiring struggles of a full-time mother of three with a part-time women's ministry.

When Becky and her husband refurbish a dilapidated old farmhouse, unexpected events frustrate their dream of a simpler life. Although Becky still finds escape in her madcap Walter Mitty-like fantasies, she doesn't realize how desperately she needs the Lord to renovate her heart and transcend her daydreams.

More Inspirational/Religious than Chick Lit

It's not that it is bad (although I keep falling asleep listening to it) but this book is misnomered as chick lit. It should be filed first under inspirational or reliigious - then maybe chick lit. It'll probably win over a lot of inspirational / religious folks but I personally like my chick lit to be a bit more chicky.
