The story is a fitting conclusion to an amazing series. Excellent narration and presentation. I wish there were more books. So many more possibilities in this universe.

I stumbled across West of Eden browsing a public library in 2005. I had no idea it was a trilogy until I decided to listen to it on Audible. I've been an avid Sci-fi reader for 40 years & this trilogy ranks up there. I would be very interested to see it adapted to the screen. i flew through all books in a few days. OUTSTANDING

Often times shows and books don’t end well (GoT, I’m looking at you,) but Harrison did a fine job with this series. While I’m left with the desire for more, none is necessary and I can feel this alternate reality’s truth.

Although I’m grateful Harrison finished Kerrick’s story, I did get the feeling he’d run out of steam by this 3rd book.

The final story starts with a sorrowful Kerrick reflecting on humanity’s difficult situation - as though our illiterate Stone Age hero was writing his memoirs - but then switches to the present day where things aren’t so bad. Frankly, the story that follows feels like “more of the same “ than an exciting finale. But Harrison does tie up the Trilogy, and it’s not as melancholy as the prologue implied.

The narrator did an excellent job. His nomadic humans sounded solidly matter-of-fact. The intelligent Yilané clever and nonhuman.

Although I gave everything five stars, I actually would have preferred a more conclusive ending. Perhaps Harrison intended to return to Eden but he never did write any more Eden books.

a very bitter sweet end to a very emotional series. the yilane wain into their twilight extinction as the tanu surpass them. the ending is for only those who followed the story of kerik till the end. but I highly recommend this boom to anyone who loves dinosaurs, drama, and cavemen.

As much as I loved the first two books, this one fell flat. I can't really go into why I found the ending disappointing without spoilers, but suffice it to say a lot of potential was wasted. Most of this book was pointless meandering and only one arc had a satisfying conclusion. Too bad.
