About this listen

Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. Not until a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.

No one expected them to be heroes.

Least of all, them.

What made the experience of listening to Dragons of Autumn Twilight the most enjoyable?

The fact that Audible got a new narrator to read this series; I am so grateful to Audible to listening to it's customers about how terrible the last narrator was and fixing it.

Thanks To Audible For Re-Recording This Series!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

These books have all the favorites elements that make for a great storyline of the Fantasy genre inclduibg mages, elves, Kinders (Hobbits), Dwarves, Goblins, knights, etc.

Great original ideas using classic hero/villain types.

Great Fantasy Epic!

Great story. Terrible reading. very robotic sounding. The reading negatively impacts the delivery of this classic adventure. read the book instead.

Sounds like an AI reader.

This book moves fast. So much happens. Characters start off thin, but as you go along you learn a bit more here and there. Very fun. Good cast of characters.

The narrator is ok. and is better once you speed him up to 1.25 or 1.5

Hell of a fast paced adventure.

A great adventure

Story is amazing. I’ve read this book multiple times, but I no longer have time to read books myself, but can listen to audiobooks. This narration of the book is very bad. It sounds like the old robotic computer speech.

Narration is horrible.

Some parts of the book were not engaging. it is a classic story in Dragonlance. Good for D&D nerds like myself.

Mixed attention

One of my favorite books, I realize I am partial to how my imagination interperates the story. A few minor pronunciation oddities were here and there (ie: corridor became "corrider" somehow) and I rolled with it. However, when the gully dwarves were voiced they had southern drawls. piercing, grating, southern drawls. My immersion was brutally murdered by this. Really Paul?

Great story, odd Narrating

Not sure about the hate for the reader, but I thought it to be lively and emotional; a great read of a great book. My only gripe would be the use of a generic Southern American accent for the gulley dwarves (kind of insulting, really), but outside of that well worth the money, and I will be continuing the series.

Great book, great read

the narrators cadence was as if William Shatner was an automated phone recording, emphasizing random words, adding random commas. was distracting at first but u get used to it if u don't dwell on it. story is great

great story poorly delivered
