About this listen

"When I was just nine years old, I began learning how to become rich by playing the game of Monopoly®. If I'd just been lectured to about money management, financial responsibility, and investing, I doubt I would have listened and I doubt I would have achieved financial freedom early in life. Instead, I might be stuck in the Rat Race working hard, deeply in debt, and worried about keeping my job or having enough money for my retirement. But because I enjoyed learning when I was young, I wanted to learn more. I was on the road to financial intelligence."
—Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad

You're never too young to start! In Escape the Rat Race, you’ll find out:

  • How "working to learn, not to earn" paves the way to money-making opportunities.
  • The basics of making money by creating assets.
  • How to make money work hard for you, so that you don't have to work so hard for money.

From the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad - the #1 New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and USA Today best seller.

An accessible entry point into Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Intended for young people, this title is useful (and not altogether too kidsy) as a way for adults to find their way into Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" self-help finance franchise, too. It only covers the most preliminary concepts, but you do come away with some helpful tips on how to view the world of money, and it leaves you in a mental space where you feel a little more prepared to dive into the titles for adults. If nothing else, it explains (for those who've never cracked open any of his books) how Kiyosaki has both a rich dad and a poor dad, and how that works.

Funny short story of the original RDPD book

The only thing I did not like about this audio book is the background music. Listening at faster speed, the background music just sounds like bad microphone feedback

Fun title about money management for kids.

This book explains true financial literacy in a way that children can connect with. The information is powerful and would be useful to anyone who doesn't want to be stuck in the 'rat race' anymore.

Eye Opener

Very practical way of bringing the subject of wealth building. It all starts with discovering opportunities and and acting on them. I will definitely bring this to my children and I hope they are receptive. I love it!
