About this listen

If you take enough rides with the devil, pretty soon, he'll drive. Jake learns this the hard way when the devil gives him a task he thinks he can't finish. Or can he?

I wasn't sure what to expect when listening to this novel. took awhile to figure out what was motivating the character, and then the devil appeared and it all made sense. I liked the attitudes that were given to the various characters by the narrator. they were clearly defined, and you could sense the relationship. It's a short book, and a fun read (or listen).

good story, great performance

So, I think this book is a bit misclassified. Yes, the Devil gives Jake some bad things to do, claiming he will lose his soul if he doesn't complete these tasks... but it is hardly scary. It seems it is intended more as a morality based cautionary tale. That being said, the narration was good and the story was interesting. Just don't expect a Saw-like (horrific choices with lots of gory details) story here.

Not really horror to me...

it's not too long and it's not too short. a great way to pass the time on a ride to work or a day at the beach. devilishly fun!

Engaging listen. Exceptional narration!
