About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh's new contemporary romance novella is pure hard rock and scorching heat.

What happens when the gentleman of rock decides to play dirty?

A drummer for the hottest rock band on the planet, David has a single, powerful weakness: Thea, the band's publicist and the woman who steals his breath away with her every move.

The only problem is Thea doesn't date clients - or musicians. Emotionally scarred by a cheating ex, she's not about to risk her heart with a man who has groupies buzzing around him like flies - even if his sexy smile ties her up in knots.

What she doesn't know is that David is a one-woman man...and he's madly in love with her. David's determined to prove he's worth the risk and willing to court her step by exquisite step. Thea's about to discover just how long and hard this handsome drummer can play.

Needed Male Narrator

This storyline was ok; the narration would improve with a male narrator like Jason Clark, Aaron Sherlock, Teddy Hamilton, or Jakobi Diem. It was a cute story.

The Gentleman writes memos of Love

The Gentleman of Rock hangs in there when Thea politely gives him the brush off, claiming she doesn’t date the client. Her stepsister, Molly, gives David a way to get under Thea’s skin, and he runs with it, determined to convince her to give them a chance. We get to see Thea & David’s romance as it develops alongside Molly & Fox’s.
Yes, I’ve read the ebook and heard the audiobook many times before writing this review, instead of just rating it.
Keef does a very good job with narration.

Really Enjoyed

The narrator did a good job. I really enjoyed this story, David and Thea made a wonderful H/H. Rock Courtship is a novella that takes place parallel to Rock Addiction.

An audio performance that enhances a great story

What made the experience of listening to Rock Courtship the most enjoyable?

It is a great performance of an interesting book. While it includes many typical rock star story steamy scenes, it also includes multi-dimensional characters and lots of interaction between all the characters. The other guys in the band are virtually brothers. Both Thea and David have families we get to know and that show they really care about each other. Plus this was a slow burn romance, very rare for a rock star romance. I loved how David constantly reminded Thea that he loved how smart she was in addition to be sexy.

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's hard to decide. Both Thea and David are strongly developed and complex characters that make for an interesting story. But I also loved the supporting characters: the other band members, Thea's family, and David's family. The two mothers are wise woman who clearly love their children and love that their children are finally finding love themselves.

What about Justine O. Keef’s performance did you like?

Justine O. Keef does a great job with both female and male voices. Totally believable male voices! I loved this story when I read it and I loved it even more after listening to it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Any additional comments?

If you like rocker romances, Justine O. Keef does an amazing job with the audio. Check out the Sinners on Tour series by Olivia Cunning - you won't be disappointed.

A FUN & FLIRTY LOVE STORY BUT SADLY ONLY A NOVELLA

Poor David, named the Gentleman of Rock and the Drummer of the band Schoolboy Choir, had it bad for their Publicity Agent Thea and, after months of longing, fantasising and drooling over her, he finally plucks up the courage and asks her out. Oh, he could get groupies and have lots of meaningless sex with faceless strangers like his other Band members but his heart and body only wanted Thea. Unfortunately Thea had been emotionally burned by her ex, didn't want to date Musicians or mix business with pleasure and so said no even though she felt a strong attraction to David.

He went away crushed but months later he heard a bit of good advice which put him back on course to win over the cold and prickly Thea and so, through heartfelt memos, texts and sexy phone calls he finally broke through Thea's defenses and got his chance to show her that he was a one woman kinda man. But it wasn't all plain sailing as a shocking claim left everyone reeling and tempers flared, emotions spiked and a phone hit the wall. However, these two lovers were sensible, respected one other, had faith and trust in each other and had great sexual chemistry too, so they tackled the threat together...... and it won them the HEA they both craved.

Worth a credit? I did wonder and hesitate about that because it was such a short listen but, as I'm a fan of both Nalini Singh and this series, I didn't doubt for long and spent the credit and I'm so glad I did. David was a sweetheart, thoughtful, tender, loyal, genuine, sexy and showed Thea, in romantic words and deeds and in his passionate lovemaking, that he was head over heels for her..... so Thea took a leap of faith for the chance to love David. Dual POV's, a well written sweet love story and a good narrator definitely made this a creditworthy listen.

Sweet and Sexy

Really enjoyed this book. I love the memo where David convinces Thea to give them a chance. This book is quite sweet and different in its approach but still keeps up with the sexiness of the series. Great performance by Justine O. Keef

Short, sexy, fun. A great quick read, and nice addition to Nalini's Rock Kiss series.

Sweet Short Story

This novella is a sweet love Story. if I am completely honest, I had to admit that I really don't like novellas. They always lack depth and because of their short length, I never feel like I can truly get into the story before it's over. There was a recap at the beginning, that referred to the previous book that I thought was unnecessary and just made the story that much shorter.
Worth the credit? as a standalone, No. as a part of the series? it's a story that is important to the series.
