A standalone story in the best-selling Six Pack Ranch series by New York Times Bestselling Author Vivian Arend.
Nothing comes easy. You’ve gotta work for it.
Matt Coleman always figured at this point in his life, he’d be settled down with a family. Since his ex split for the big city, though, no way will he give anyone else the chance to drop-kick his heart. Physical pleasure? Hell, yeah, he’ll take—and give—with gusto, but nothing more.
Hope Meridan is working long hours to hold on to her new quilt shop, going it alone since her sister/business partner ran off. Sex? Right, like she’s got the time. Not that she doesn’t have the occasional dirty fantasy about Matt. Fat chance he’d dream of knocking boots with her—the younger sister of the woman who dumped him. Nope, she’ll just have to settle for friendship.
Friends would be far easier if there wasn’t something combustible going on between them. And when casual interest starts to grow into something more, their tenuous bond strengthens in the heat of desire. But it may not survive the hurricane-force arrival of the last person either of them ever wanted to see again….
Warning: Small-town rivals, men in pursuit and family meddling—in good and bad ways. Look for a cowboy who knows how to rope, ride, and rein in a hell of a lot more than eight seconds of sheer bliss.

I loved how spicy, yet tender this romance was. The Six Pack Ranch series was a favorite when I read it with my eyes many years ago. Now I’m enjoying the books all over again listening to Tatiana Sokolov perform them. Her voice is great to listen to and I’m going to continue listening to this series.
Sexy second chance!

Thoroughly enjoyable in audible.
Even though I have read this series a few times, having the audible versions is superb.
Being able to listen whilst driving or doing housework is always a bonus.
But listening to these two find their way to each other through a few unusual obstacles is fun.
I was kindly gifted t his book by the author.
BOOK REVIEW
I love the friends to lovers scenario in this and all done with the Coleman family giving advice, helping and getting underfoot.
I really enjoyed the honesty and bluntness Matt and Hope had in their relationship. Saves a lot of grief.
Matts rotten ex just happens to be Hope's sister, which makes for a few interesting times when Helen pops back to town.
Matt was a charmer, slowly working his way to realising he had a great future ahead of him with Hope.
The quilt competition was a superb idea, I loved the fact the men had to do it themselves and the surprise at the end was so cute.
Thoroughly enjoyable in audible.

Hope wasn't happy about her sister, Helen abandoning her with a quilt shop and apartment lease but Hope made the best of keeping her quilt business running and keeping a roof over her head.
Both Matt and Hope met again but this time, they were willing to try dating each other without the sex. The complication was when Helen returned back to Rocky Mountain.
With Helen being back in town really test Matt and Hope's relationship. The good thing was that Matt and Hope have based their relationship on honesty and friendship. I was really glad about this. If Matt didn't trust Hope, their relationship would have failed. I love the ending but their HEA won't be announced until the next book in the series. I guess this is one way of following up to see how Matt and Hope are doing.
The narrator, Tatiana Sokolov did a better job with this third book. It was almost like the narrator was trying to get a feel of the characters but didn't really get into it until the third book in this series. I hope the narrator keep the momentum going for this series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rocky Mountain Desire begins with Matt attending a bachelor party for his brother, Daniel. He is wishing he was not even there until he sees her. There is just something about her that draws him to her.
When he decides to leave he goes out the back and runs in to someone he never expected.
Hope is in a bind. Her sister left her high and dry with a new business and a lot of bills. She is doing everything she can to make all of the payments on time, including revisiting her college days and picking up an exotic dancing gig when she can.
But she never expected the job tonight was for the Coleman’s. And when Matt looks straight at her while she is dancing she knows she is in trouble. As soon as she is done she is getting her money and leaving. But circumstances place her right in Matt’s path.
Since Hope owns the local sewing and craft store, she offers classes. Some of those classes are in the local homes. On her way home from one of those classes she decides to detour and make a delivery to another home. However, that detour will turn disastrous.
Lucky for her Matt saw her and followed her. He was worried that her car would not make it. So when she needs help, Matt is there.
Sadly, Matt is not helpful or necessarily friendly about having to help her.
When Jaxi tells Matt to do something to help her and explains what is really going on, the guilt sets in.
But Hope does not want his help. She is not a charity case. She is a proud woman and does not want people to know her struggles.
Ultimately, Matt wears her down and helps her around the shop. As they become friends they are both feeling the spark. But both have misgivings because of her sister.
When sister dearest returns to Rocky, will Matt go back to her or stay with Hope? Will Hope maintain the store and apartment or will sister dearest manage to move in and take over?
I loved seeing Matt finally move on. That girl was toxic. Hope and her sister are complete opposites and handle things so very differently.
In addition watching Matt’s jealousy over the time Hope spends with the Thompson’s, especially Clay, is entertaining.
And how did he manage to convince his brothers to make quilt squares for the contest Hope is having? I loved seeing the squares each brother made and how it symbolizes their personalities.
Another book narrated by Tatiana Sokolov. She seems to have the ladies and gentlemen of Rocky down to a science. She knows the characters, their families and the town folk.
Will these two figure things out?

I found this one had some interesting aspects to it. The way the
two main characters had to learn to trust again after they had their
heart broken by other before.
Plenty of depth to the story and also the characters.
The narrator has done a brilliant job of bringing the characters alive.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this audiobook.

I sometimes forget that Hope is very much not an innocent angel, but I really love how she's quick to dispel that misconception. It's a bit hot and plenty fun. Ultimately, I love her and Matt together - possessiveness, protectiveness and all.
Helen continues to leave a less than stellar impression with her antics. I am left wondering if professional help should be mentioned as a consideration.
Unlike the first two books in the series, this one focuses mostly on Matt and Hope. There are Coleman family gatherings, so we still get time with them, but it's not quite the same.
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is again Tatiana Sokolov. She continues to do well with all of the Colemans and their friends and family.
