Publisher's summary

In his blockbuster new book Rollback, New York Times best-selling author Thomas E. Woods, Jr., offers the first critical analysis of the 2010 midterm elections and answers the number-one question on conservatives’ minds: How do we roll back the liberal policies and big government programs that Obama/Pelosi/Reid rushed through Congress before the midterms?

From getting rid of wasteful and inefficient federal agencies to abolishing the income tax to repealing health-care reform and all of Obama's "green" policies, Woods outlines a bold plan for dramatically overhauling the government and restoring our Founding Fathers' vision for America.

very good overview of libertarian thought

Very good overview of what is going to happen to the United States.

Also contains a good overview of the brainwashing done by the state in its state run schools (coincidence?) about how only it can provide certain services, and our current quality of life is because of our friendly overlords expropriating or honest earnings and then using said funds to force us to do something, whether we want to our not, at the threat of death.

Best book I've read this year.

Such a powerfully written argument for liberty in so many areas of society. Defense, healthcare, drugs, taxes, the debt, central banking, etc. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking the truth.

Every High School student should study this

Very well researched and written. Woods is a treasure for these times when the current "economists" have it all wrong. This would be a great book to help solve the great failure of our education system - that is to educate our children to question the fundamental reasons for the economic problems of today.

Does not disappoint...

Highly recommend this book for anyone looking at the debt for the problem it is. If only this nation would open its eyes and see what's coming.

Tom Woods always gets it right

I loved Rollback. The explanations were clear, and it provided so much information on many things that are not common knowledge, yet easy to find records about. Great book!

A Must Listen (or Must Read)

Thomas Woods hits it on the head and delivers on the difficult choices all of us - Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, and Centrist - are going to have to make soon regarding what government can enforce and provide to us, and what it cannot and should not. His reasoned arguments go beyond the fact that government is out of money and near our credit limit with the Chinese - we have to take a very hard look at *everything* - including defense and entitlements, lest we go bankrupt and enter an economic cataclysm that will make 2008-9 and even the Great Depression look tame in comparison.

This is not a work that merely shouts that the sky is falling and somebody will miraculously save us from all of the spending of the past few decades. It also does not single out any particular administration for blame - this has been going on for decades and is now acute enough that if we do not act, and soon,
things will be very, very different, and awful for most.

Well researched, reasoned, and narrated. Get this now, listen, think, and act. There is not much time left to ponder the severe governmental problems we now face.

Worth buying

I enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator reads in such a way that I didn't easily lose attention. The book itself is very thought-provoking. Even those who are well informed about current events and economic theory will learn something from this book.

A neccesary book in difficult times.

I highly recommend checking out, this title from Thomas E Woods Jr. He does a great job, of explaining why it isn't a disaster, to reduce government to a size that can be paid for. Or further that that, for that matter. Thomas Woods is a historian, as well as an economist, and that really shows.
