About this listen

In this timely new P. I. Guide, Murphy reveals the stark truth: free market failure didn't cause the Great Depression, and the New Deal didn't cure it. Shattering myths and politically correct lies, he tells why World War II didn't help the economy or get us out of the Great Depression; why it took FDR to make the Depression "Great"; and why Herbert Hoover was more like Obama and less like Bush than the liberal media would have you believe.

Free-market believers and capitalists everywhere should listen to this.

Very well done. The picture it paints of the great depression is top notch. The comparisons it makes between now and then are nothing short of eerie.

Really opens your eyes to current events.

So well written. So factual, reasonable, and true. Many history books are so wrong. Doing some research on the facts in this book vs my old schoolbooks blew my mind.

Terrific

Awesomely entertaining book on a topic of which the average American is greatly misinformed! I can only hope you will all listen to this for historic value, and to learn what actually happened rather than what is often wrongfully repeated as fact in society. A great, entertaining listen for the historically and/or economically inclined.

great entertaining and factually correct book!

Like most of this series this is a great broad overlook of the subject matter. For more in-depth dissection of FDR and his policies I suggest “FDR’s Folly”. This fairly short book is well worth the time you will spend on it.

Well written broad break down

I always love it when an author writes something that is actually true.

FDR's Great Deal was a disaster and it caused a disaster, however most history books in the USA flip the story around backwards to make FDR seem like a genius and a hero.

Robert Murphy sets the record straight in this "Politically Incorrect" guide.

Does a great job of shattering many of the myths surrounding the Great Depression and the New Deal.

I liked the comparisons to what happened in the Great Depression with what Bush 41, Clinton 42, Bush 43 and Obama 44 did...the bipartisan actions of them and their respective Congresses are to blame for all our problems.
