About this listen
This audiobook features original music by Hamza Namira.
Clare Ortwein takes listeners on an exhilarating journey through the heart of Cairo, Egypt and the unforgiving expanses of the Egyptian desert.
Archaeologist Lily Archer, once a skeptic of legends, finds her life irrevocably transformed when she crosses paths with the enigmatic Malik Al-Rashid. Together, they embark on a treacherous quest to uncover the hidden Jewel of the Nile—a treasure steeped in mystery and power.
As they navigate landscapes, decode ancient inscriptions, and confront their doubts, Lily and Malik's initial clash blossoms into a passionate romance. Yet, challenges riddle their journey, from internal conflicts to external threats, including a villain who seeks the jewel's otherworldly power.
In the crucible of the desert, their bond deepens, revealing vulnerabilities and strengths they never knew they possessed. Amidst betrayals and revelations, they stand at a crossroads, facing a decision that will shape their destinies and the fate of the jewel. The climax is a gripping showdown that tests their unity and resilience.
As their tale concludes, "Romancing the Jewel of the Nile" explores the intricate dance of love, trust, and adventure and underscores the transformative power of embracing the unknown. With a backdrop of shifting sands and starlit nights, Clare Ortwein's enchanting narrative weaves a tapestry of romance, danger, and self-discovery that will resonate long after listeners finish the book.

Jewel of the Nile
A lovely story, great characters and locations. Perfect narrator for this story. Light romance, suspense and faith. One of my favorite authors in this genre. Looking forward to more by this author and narrator.

I struggled with Caroline's voice. Lost some of the story in feeling annoyed at her tone.

Good story
I love the author. This book was a bit different from her other books. The squeaky narration for female voices was unpleasant. Everything else the narrator did well.

Some of female voices done by narrator were a little shrill and annoying but narrator sure made the transition from one voice to another very smooth.

The narrator has a beautiful voice
The narrator has a beautiful voice during narration parts and male voices, but the female voices are like nails on a chalkboard.
