About this listen

Tantric yoga pushes your body, mind, and soul to meld with your partner in ways the average relationship never experiences. Deeply sensual and highly sexual, tantric yoga is for true believers. Amber St. James doesn't know what to believe. At twenty-two years old her focus is on medical school as she prepares to be a pediatrician. Top of her class, she hasn't given much thought to dating or men in general. Her plan is clear. Finish the elite San Francisco/Berkeley Medical School program early and become a doctor. That is, until she needs to pass her human sexualities course. A subject she is by far a stranger to for religious and personal reasons.

Tantric practitioner Dash Alexander is Lotus House Yoga's most sought after sensual teacher. Women flock to him for his unique teaching style, calm nature, and wicked hot body. Hearing Amber's plight, he offers to help her. The condition? Amber must assist his couples' tantra yoga class as his partner. The attraction between the two is beyond anything he's ever experienced spiritually or otherwise.

Through Dash's teachings he makes love to Amber's mind and merges with her soul. Physically there's only one problem, a secret that's sacred. Amber St. James is a virgin...by choice.

4 ‘Little Bird’ stars!

Sacred Serenity is the second book in Audrey Carlan’s Lotus House Series. If you read the first book in the series, Resisting Roots you will have briefly met Amber and Dash. Amber is religious and believes in saving herself for marriage. Dash—gah I loved that man!! What an incredibly patient man he is and when he calls Amber ‘Little Bird’ total swoon! He is a tantric yoga instructor and his beliefs could not be more different than Amber’s. Dash is patient, kind and loving towards her. He respect her and her beliefs. He is a tantric yoga instructor so naturally he is in touch with his sexuality and is slowly helping Amber figure out hers. This one is much more erotic than the first book in the series. I enjoyed the story and look forward to more in this series.

Daxton Shade and Caitlin Elizabeth are new to me narrators. I enjoyed their performances and their voices complimented each other well.

My Path To Enlightenment

Dash and Amber will set you ablaze with their electric and sesusal chemistry. Amber wants to gets some hands on skills in area of human sexuality. As an innocent with no immediate plans to change this status, her practical skills of the sensual arts and its real world effects are nil. This is how she finds herself as Dash Alexander's partner in is Tantric Yoga seminar. Normally she would be fine, for criminys’ sake she’s going to be a doctor, but Dash just happens to be her achilles heel. Between his sultry looks and deadly appeal, she finds herself positively flummoxed around him. Dash has been drawn to Amber since the first time he laid eyes on her unique beauty. Something about her innocent smart beauty intrigues him. This is one time where he desperately hopes his partner can't keep her hands to herself, cause lord knows he won't be able to.

Narration- Daxton and Caitlin were absolutely sublime. Could there have been s better Dash - I don’t think so. And Caitlin was sweet and strong just how I imagined Amber.

Two words: TANTRIC YOGA. Enough said.

Wow. What a sexy listen. Sacred Serenity is the second book in the Lotus House series. It follows the next door neighbour/friend/"sister from another mister" of Genevieve Harper from book 1. I enjoyed both books in this series. You don't need to have read the first book to enjoy this installment, but there are certainly spoilers in book 2 that would detract from the enjoyment of the first book if read out of order.

Both narrators provided a solid 4-star performance. Daxton Shade was a new narrator for me. I thought he sounded a bit old as Dash, but his overall performance was good. I would have preferred Jacob Morgan to narrate book 2 as well, but alas it was not to be. Caitlin Elizabeth breathed life into our heroine, Amber and her voicing of male characters made the dialog easy to follow.

Of this series, this is my favourite book. Dash as a handsome, tanned, toned, California yogi makes for a desirable male lead. But hey, this guy is the TANTRIC yoga instructor. Plus, his demonstration partner for the couples class is a virgin. To say this story was rife with sexual tension and off-the-charts chemistry is an understatement.

The premise behind Amber's chastity is religion - more specifically Catholicism. There is a lot of "God talk" in this book. Amber comes off quite preachy, but her character's debate between religion, marriage, and sexuality rings true.

There is also an interesting sub-plot in this book regarding Amber's paternity since her mother died after childbirth without divulging the identity of her father. I wish Audrey Carlan had added more of this secondary story. The glimpses she provided throughout the novel sometimes seemed to be included as afterthoughts.

Overall, worth my listening credit.

Lovely

I loved Sacred Serenity by Audrey Carlan. I loved the concept of such an unlikely pairing. I liked the depth of emoitions both Amber and Dash experienced. Everyday people can only dream about such a deep sensual and sexual connection described in here so it made me envious as hell. I loved both characters they were simply perfect for each other.

Daxton Shade and Caitlin Elizabeth were perfect to narrate this book. They did a wonderful job. I loved their voices. The pacing the emotions, everything was spot on.

Very Sensual

This is definitely a yoga lovers book. I enjoyed the coming together of these two characters and the family back story. The story for me was maybe just a bit too much on the sensuality which for me could’ve been a tadge less. Stretched out to almost boring but not really. I did enjoy the narration.

Loved this book

Dash and Amber finally got it together. The yoga was a different spin and the spiritual level was beautiful. I love the storyline and characters.

So much is Sacred

How does Audrey make me fall in love with these man whores?!?! First Trent from resisting roots and now Dash. She somehow doesn’t portray them as totally selfish, which is quite the feat. Amber is innocent yet not. The depth of these characters is astounding. I know a book is amazing when I close it and the characters don’t leave me. The plot was emotional and engaging. As I listened, I could get a good idea of where things were headed and yet the journey was everything. 💖💖💖💖💖💖

Ugh

So I really don’t review normally but felt compelled to do so for this story. I really wanted to love this story. My problem was that both characters were basic stereotypes. Amber was the basic catholic Girl way to upitty for anyone to relate to. And Dash was a hipster seriously

LOTUS HOUSE ROCKS!!!

I love how Dash and Amber connect immediately. How he opened her up her sexuality without pushing her prematurely. Amber was determined to stay faithful to God and keep her virginity. But yet,Dash, like most men, want her solo badly to express his love to her. The two owners of Lotus House had to tell him he must understand Amber's position and if he really love her, he should give her that commitment. It's a phenomenal novel series. I'm a Audrey Carlan fan for Life.
