They aren't who they appear to be...but neither am I.

I’m glad I bought the complete series, because if I had only purchased the first book, I likely would not have finished the series. The narration started out pretty awful, primarily each narrator portraying the other gender (for example - the female narrator reading phrases for the male character and vice versa). As the books went on, it either improved or I just became used to it - or a little of both, The storyline is original enough, that it kept my curiosity piqued. Overall, I found the story entertaining, the spice was good, the characters and the world building was interesting. But for future reference, please let the narrators stick to their characters as much as possible.

Narration improves as the story goes on

Wasted my monthly credit on this story. The main female character is a whiney tattle tale. maybe it gets better🤷🏽‍♀️

It was just ok. Very little spice for fans of the genre. The concept of the story was okay but could've used a bit more polish.

Not the best RH out there

Trigger warning for those who have difficulty with being bullied. There is a lot of that happening in the beginning of the series. Also, the characters are barely of legal age for all of the sex. If any of that bothers you this isn’t your book.

Reverse haram, young characters and a lot of bullying at the beginning.

First off YA/ highschool age books aren’t normally my favorite books because they usually lack in certain areas. But I enjoyed this story it was different enough to keep me interested.
Love a why choose. The books felt rushed at the end. Just a bit until we get to the very end and it’s abrupt AF. Like seriously no epilogue nothing? I was hurt.

Ok I liked the book until…

Riley was faced with torture, betrayal and an adventure to learn who she is. This is a monumental undertaking for any 17 year old and I enjoyed her stumble through school and life. Great book

The story was imaginative and entertaining. I loved the multiple storylines and all of the character interactions.

Great Story!

I downloaded this because I liked Ivey's story, not thinking this took place when they were younger (17-18), and what's her name definitely acts her age. i don't think the whining is a reflection of the narrator's performance; she read the book as it's written, and this girl just whines. A lot.

It's a good premise, but the execution could be better. I'm finishing it only because I want to find out about the kraken Ivey alluded to so many times.

What's her name is whiny and so naive. She just agrees to whatever absolutely anyone tells her to do. Morgan and Blake could be really strong characters without Jax being so overbearing. Jax is a manchild who acts hard but also just goes along with whatever his dad days until about 3/4 through the story.
