About this listen

After surviving childhood at the snooty, stuck-up boarding school for budding omegas, I have everyone convinced I'm a dud.

My awakening? Never gonna happen. Heat, mates, and a fairytale pack life? Maybe next reincarnation. All I want is to be left alone.

I'm invisible, and headed to a blissful solo future until the Wyvern Pack destroys my dream of independence. But Atlas, Hunter, Finn, Jett, and Orion are poison candy. They don't want an omega, but they need one, even if there will never be a real spot for me in their pack.

Who needs a pack? I’ll keep myself safe, same as always. I'll never awaken, and I'll never ever give the Wyverns my heart...because all they'll do is rip me apart.

This book contains a slow burn, high heat, and growly alpha males. It's intended for mature listeners due to MM content, frequent cursing, and references to past assault that may be disturbing. The author not responsible for any ugly crying.

wow

This book had me all kinds of twisted up in my feelings. There is not a lot of books that can make me openly cry like this one has. I truly couldn't help myself from just from crying my eyes out. There were some points that I could really feel my heart hurting for the woman in this book. I was so into this book that I had to go back again and again. I couldn't be more excited for the next one. I have such high hopes for her and her mates. I would definitely recommend this book, the writer and the narrators over and over again.

She’s a badass

So she is kind of a sleeping ninja. She has learned to smother her light, to do anything to avoid notice. She is the best mate ever to a bunch of assholes and before any closure, the book ends and part 2 is not on audible. Still awesome though.

Wow

Loved this book! I feel bad for the MC but I also think she creates her own problems by withholding so much! Looking forward to book 2

Great story, Great Narrators

I was in a hard-core book rut, then stumbled across this gem and finished in less than a day. It is slow burn, but still some spice and I'm excited for the next part. The storyline is great, and a change of pace from the typical paranormal romance I end up listening to (probably the reason for the rut I was in).
I love how each character personality stands strong and you really get to know each of them. The fmc is strong willed and an absolute badass but different than the typical. The narrators are absolutely perfect, seriously made the story top notch.

Excellence

First book by Lola rock and am blown away. I debated listening to this book due to ambivalent kindle reviews. I am glad I chose to listen to it. This is so well written that every pain felt real. I wept . The rejection was so gut wrenching . I don’t think I can forgive the pack . There is a moment I was screaming for her to get away from them . I love Orion and Fynn. The rest of the pack is a mess. Am not sure there should be a redemption. Let them live alone . This is fiction but am vested like I know Layla.

Good and addictive

I enjoyed the audiobook but i wish they actually used multiple voices to make it more realistic and not make the reader make several voices as it was her or his chapter to read. Also measleading of when shes actually talking or thinking to herself. Otherwise pretty addictive story and binged ir in 24 hs.

an amazing performance for an amazing story

I HIGHLY recommend the audiobook for this one. The performance was so good! This was my first introduction into omega verse, and I'm nervous nothing will match it. This had such a unique storyline that I was living for. The FMC was strong, which if you know me, you know I am a sucker for. She never wanted to take any hand outs from the men, and she wanted to make a way for herself. Her sh*tty circumstances lands her in a forced proximity trope with all the alpha males and another beta.

What to expect:
Forced proximity
Why choose romance
Omega verse
Slow burn
Fated mates

4.5 Stars

RH can be hard sometimes because not all of the MMCs are unique enough and kind of blend together in a blah cast of penises serving a singular purpose. These characters all have well built personalities and backgrounds, making for a diverse and likable group. The FMC does get a tiny bit repetitive with the whole “have to hide my scent” thing, but I guess it get it. I do appreciate the Omega bonding vs an insta love situation. My only big hang up is the narrators. I love them both individually and I think each of them suit their parts, but this definitely should have been a duet narration. Troy reading the female parts doesn’t do it for me, and vice versa. If this had been a duet, I would’ve given 5 stars for sure. That said, I’m still looking forward to Part II, regardless of the small nitpicks
