About this listen

The best-selling author of Hide and Gone draws us into the venomous mind games of her most terrifying killer yet.

Come into my parlor...

For Kimberly Quincy, FBI Special Agent, it all starts with a pregnant hooker. The story Delilah Rose tells Kimberly about her johns is too horrifying to be true - but prostitutes are disappearing, one by one, with no explanation, and no one but Kimberly seems to care.

Said the spider to the fly...

As a member of the Evidence Response Team, dead hookers aren't exactly Kimberly's specialty. The young agent is five months pregnant - she has other things to worry about than an alleged lunatic who uses spiders to do his dirty work. But Kimberly's own mother and sister were victims of a serial killer. And now, without any bodies and with precious few clues, it's all too clear that a serial killer has found the key to the perfect murder...or Kimberly is chasing a crime that never happened.

Kimberly's caught in a web more lethal than any spider's, and the more she fights for answers, the more tightly she's trapped. What she doesn't know is that she's close - too close - to a psychopath who makes women's nightmares come alive, and if he has his twisted way, it won't be long before it's time for Kimberly, to... This one stays with you.

What made the experience of listening to Say Goodbye the most enjoyable?

This is an intense, intelligent thriller. One reviewer wrote "not for the feint of heart" and I dismissed it , however I found it describes it perfectly. Rough and riveting scenes stay with you. Days after you have finished the book you are still pondering long term affects of nurture and nature. It is disturbing but and excellent listen.

Entertaining to the end!

I love it when I cannot predict the outcome of a story. Lisa Gardner did an outstanding job on this one! I actually listened to this book two times in a row. I wanted to go back through to see if there were details and clues I hadn't picked up on the first time around. Ann Marie Lee was an excellent narrator.......changing her voice to accommodate various characters and situations.

Excellent...if you can stomach it

Gardner did a great job creating a story that keeps you on edge every minute. The character development is fantastic and the narrators each do so great bringing everyone to life in their own way.
The story itself of heartbreaking and really makes you think about all the terrible things that can happen in the world and how everyone is affected.
This one will stick with you after you've finished!

Good story.

Good book except annoying every chapter starts with info about spiders. A lot of child abuse and child pornography. Good story but disturbing.

Couldn't Stop Listening!

I primarily listen to books in my car on my way to and from work. But this one was SO good, I had to bring my IPOD in the house and listen on the weekends! It's that good! I hope Audible continues to provide more of her books.

Heart wrenching but a fabulous read.

As many others have said in their reviews this in a really intense story. If you can't handle intense drama such as rape, molestation, and murder do not read this book. Gardner has a very intense descriptive imagination and it pours out in this story. You may even find yourself feeling pain for the wicked characters. I loved this book and recommend it if you can handle the stories of pain that is our world we live in.

Not the best

I have enjoyed this series until this book. It was just weird and sort of hard to follow at times.

Not for the faint of heart

I was disappointed that Anna Fields didn’t narrate, but the story was mesmerizing and the narrator did a good job
