About this listen

Scar Tissue was a finalist for the Flannery O’Connor Award for short fiction.

Scar Tissue trespasses into the restricted places in the world of medicine. Enter a lab with a mouse-sized guillotine, a blood bank where life is held in a bag, and an AIDs research facility where the only model is that animal most closely related to humans.

Scar Tissue also explores the lives of people working in the medical field. Ethics and morality always come into play when asking ‘to what lengths can you go to save a life...or to further medical research’?

I contacted ACX and they suggested listener who had audio quality issues and posted earlier review should contact ACX and download audiobook a second time. There may have been an error during initial upload. Voice is NOT computerized.
Also, you may want to make sure your listening speed is set to 1.0 and not sped up.
Thank you.

I enjoyed the series of short stories in Scar Tissue. Many of the stories are told from an unexpected perspective. In some ways I found the writing reminiscent of Kathy Reichs. Definitely worth the time to listen.

A fabulous listen.
