About this listen

  • Presents the unifying world concept long sought by scientists, mystics, and sages: an integral theory of everything

  • Explains how modern science has rediscovered the Akashic field of perennial philosophy
  • New edition updates ongoing scientific studies, presents new research inspired by the first edition, and includes new case studies and a section on animal telepathy

Mystics and sages have long maintained that there exists an interconnecting cosmic field at the roots of reality that conserves and conveys information, a field known as the Akashic record. Recent discoveries in vacuum physics show that this Akashic field is real and has its equivalent in science's zero-point field that underlies space itself. This field consists of a subtle sea of fluctuating energies from which all things arise: atoms and galaxies, stars and planets, living beings, and even consciousness. This zero-point Akashic field is the constant and enduring memory of the universe. It holds the record of all that has happened on Earth and in the cosmos and relates it to all that is yet to happen.

In Science and the Akashic Field, philosopher and scientist Ervin Laszlo conveys the essential element of this information field in language that is accessible and clear. From the world of science, he confirms our deepest intuitions of the oneness of creation in the integral theory of everything. We discover that, as philosopher William James stated, "We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep."

Enlighten and persuasive

Looking for an in-depth explanation ? This is not the book for you.
But it does provide enough details all from different angles and is persuasive.

A balanced approach to understanding our universal connectivity

This a deep dive into understanding universal connectivity goes beyond a simple summary of collective consciousness. Here Laszlo combines science and philosophy to characterize what may in fact be a fundamental feature of all existence. The final chapter is also a wonderful and concise road map of personal growth and discovery that is sure to inspire. At the end of this concluding chapter Laszlo breathes new life into systems thinking in a way that makes one want to learn more. In total, Laszlo brings the reader/listener to the beginning of a journey of deep discovery that is uniquely their own, but one where upon many have and continue to travel. Pile does a wonderful job at narrating with a performance characterized by an excellent cadence and emphasis that is easy to listen to - Good work!

A true pioneer of wisdom

Would you listen to Science and the Akashic Field again? Why?

Yes multiple times It demands more than one review of its depth

What was one of the most memorable moments of Science and the Akashic Field?

The unique view of the akasha..from a scientist and wisdom teacher

Which character – as performed by Tom Pile – was your favorite?

..

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Akasha Field of Conscious Creation

Any additional comments?

I only wish that ALL of the many many books on Akasha and conscious creation and the other elements that Laszlo were in audiobook format. This is the ONLY Laszlo book in audio..That is sad very sad.

Good content quiet narrator

The narrator was too quiet. I could only listen to it with ear buds on. I'll listen to all of my other audio books on my portable Speaker when in the car but this one was just too quiet

Scientific approach to mysterious phenomena

I liked his hunger to incorporate all psychic and physical phenomena into this discussion, including entanglement and other mysterious coherent phenomena.
