Valley U’s hottest QB has heard in detail how I want to climb him like a tree.
One viral video, and my life as a wallflower is over.
Felix Walters knows exactly how I feel about him—so does everyone else on campus.
It was supposed to be a private conversation between friends.
Now, I’m the butt of every joke, and everywhere I turn, all eyes are on me.
It’s every shy girl’s nightmare.
Except, now the hottest guy on campus wants to be my fake boyfriend.
Six weeks. Just pretend.
I’m a wallflower fake dating Valley U's hottest player.

Wallflower/football star
Fake dating
Sports romance
What happens when a quiet wallflower is recorded at a party talking about how she’d like to climb her campus’ star quarterback like a tree?
I was so pleased with this one. This was such a fun and flirty fake dating, college romance!
I have to be honest, there’s just something about football romances that GETS ME. 🙈
There’s also something about a quiet girl and a very social guy.
In most ways, Dahlia and Felix are different. I def think that’s what makes them work so well.
I loved being able to see growth in Felix over the course of the story. I loved seeing how his view of himself changed. I like that he hyped Dahlia up and she helped him feel valued as a man rather than just a football player.
This one was such a sweet read.

Wrong.
While there, she unknowingly gets recorded confessing exactly what she’d like to do to Felix Walters, Valley U’s golden-boy quarterback. The video is uploaded to social media, and before she knows it, she’s viral—for the most mortifying reason. And just when she thinks the night can’t get worse, she runs straight into Felix himself. Instead of making things more awkward, he offers a solution: fake dating. A temporary PR move that lets them “break up” when the video’s viral shelf life expires.
I’ll be honest—I went into this book with moderate expectations. The first book in the series left me wanting more, and while book two was solid, it didn’t blow me away. So, I was expecting fun fluff. What I wasn’t expecting? To be in tears by the end.
This fake dating college romance hits all the right beats: the all-star jock, the shy-but-sneaky-hot girl next door, the “holy crap, we have real chemistry” realization. It gave me She’s All That vibes in the best way. But what made it stand out was Dahlia herself. She’s not just shy—she’s confident in her passions (golf, design, academics, and friendship) and in her sexuality as she gains experience. She also shows real courage and integrity when standing up to Felix’s ex, who spends the entire book being a complete nightmare. Dahlia felt dynamic, layered, and grounded, making her one of my favorite leads in this series so far.
Felix, on the other hand, was a bit weaker as a character, but I loved how consistently he pushed Dahlia to succeed, find what she wanted, and thrive. Their chemistry balanced sexy and sweet so well, and their banter kept me hooked. And that epilogue? Chef’s kiss. The happily-ever-after was so satisfying.
Overall, I’d rate the spice level a 3/5 and the book itself a 4/5. There’s only one book left in the series, and at this point, I have to finish it!
Very much giving She’s All That vibes in the best way
