About this listen

In Scot Under the Covers, a resourceful English lady and a hot-blooded Highlander join forces to trick a scoundrel, and every rule will be broken!

Miranda Harris is known for her charm, wit, and ability to solve any problem she encounters. But when her brother lands neck-deep in gambling debt to a crafty villain and Miranda is subsequently blackmailed into marrying him, she must enlist the help of the devil himself to save the family honor - and herself.

Devilishly handsome Highlander Aden MacTaggert knows next to nothing about the ways of the ton, but he most certainly knows his way around gaming halls and womens' hearts. Still, Aden is not sure how he'll manage to find a Sassenach bride in time to save his family's inheritance. When his almost sister-in-law Miranda comes to him for assistance, he proposes a partnership: She will help him navigate London society and he'll teach her everything about wagering...and winning back her freedom. The beautiful, clever lass intrigues Aden - but is she playing her own game, or are the sparks between them real? He is accustomed to risking his pocket. But betting on Miranda's love is a game he can't afford to lose....

Contains mature themes.

Good one

Surprises and Chuckled make for a great story. Leaves you wanting more at the end. Perhaps a sequel to their story?

Love female narrators

Having a female narrator providing the voices for both genders is much more enjoyable than having a male narrator trying to provide the dialogue for females. She did a great job in this book. Also, the interaction between the main characters was extremely entertaining.

More mystery than romance

Great read! We'll written, very good narration. I was expecting more of a romance but this story was really a complicated mystery with quite a bit of romance. Even though the story had less romance than I usually like it was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This will be one of my favorite authors for sure.

Not bad.

The second book was much better than the first book. If you're looking for a really steamy romance novel then this is not for you. It has two steamy scenes but that's it. The story line is good. I did not care for the ending because it just felt the ending was shortened and something was missing. I am planning to read the third book because it's available for free with your Prime subscription.

Odd pauses

The story is very enchanting. However, there are odd long pauses where there shouldn’t be and other areas are like run on sentences. It makes it hard to follow.

Unique story and great h and h!

Miranda and Aiden make one of the best romantic duos in historical romance! The Scots are always a breed apart when it comes to romance and these Scotsman are no exception. There is not a dull moment in this story.

Entertaining historical romance

Miranda is thrown into peril as her brother has offered her hand in marriage to a villian to pay off his gambling debts. She doesn't know what to do so decides to go to Aden the highlander as he is a gambler for advice. This is engaging tale with push and pull, banter and such a great hero, some danger, adventure and HEA.

Not the right voice for the story

Audiobook narration is certainly a difficult job and those who do it are incredibly skilled. That said, this narrator had such a light feminine voice that it was very disconcerting to hear the male leads speak at all. Doesn't fit with the whole 6+ ft broad shouldered heavily muscled characters... I groaned as soon as I heard the first sentence. I'm sure she would be an excellent match for a lot of genres but I felt like it was a flat bust here. If you are picky about narration, I'd recommend passing on this title. There were also a fair number of mispronunciations.

A wonderful audiobook in every way.

The author and narrator are two of my audiobook favorites. This book is a delightful and unpredictable story. There's humor, intrigue, and romance.
