About this listen

A touching modern fairytale that won't let go of your heart, from the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Fool's Gold romances!

Mathias Mitchell's easy smile hides a world of hurt. After the worst kind of family betrayal, he moves to Happily Inc., California - the wedding destination town supplies a steady stream of bridesmaids, perfect for his "no promises, no pain" lifestyle. Yet he can't stop watching for his beautiful, elusive neighbor on the animal preserve behind their homes.

Gamekeeper Carol Lund knows she's not special enough to attract an alpha male like Mathias, so his offer to help her adopt a herd for her lonely giraffe is surprising - and his determined seduction even more so. But just as she finally welcomes him into her bed, his careless actions crush her heart. Will she give him a second chance to prove she'll always come first in his heart?

Just amazing!

I love Susan Mallery’s books and I enjoy listening to Tanya Eby narrate. However, this book surpassed my expectations. I could not stop listening and just had to find out how it ended.
The chemistry between the main characters was fabulous. You can feel the electricity snap through Ms. Eby’s narration.
I would definitely recommend this book to listen to, or read if you would rather!

Not sure about the narrator

I can't believe there aren't hundreds of reviews talking about this narrator. It's like listening to an automated voice. I'm not far into the book yet, maybe chapter 6? I usually listen at a faster speed, but this one requires no faster than 1.2 or it sounds like a chipmunk. The book content and story is great though.

Totally enjoyed this book series. Very easy to follow plot and characters were developed so realistically. Love Susan Mallory and all her books.

Couldn't Put It Down

I absolutely loved this book. The only thing I was disappointed about was when it was over. I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out.

Another great book from Susan Mallery!

This book was just as fabulous as all the other books by Susan Mallery. I love that she brought in Mayor Marsha, Eddie and Gladys. I love seeing cameos from other books/series.

Great story line

I only wish there was not so many repeat of the storyline of how things were with the family the fights with the family just too many repeats of some of the storylines but otherwise the book was great.
