On Death and Dying began as a theoretical book, an interdisciplinary study of our fear of death and our inevitable acceptance of it. It introduced the world to the now-famous five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. On Grief and Grieving applies these stages to the process of grieving and weaves together theory, inspiration, and practical advice, all based on Kübler-Ross' and Kessler's professional and personal experiences.

Story
We live in a world of near-universal acceptance that once our lives on the Earth come to an end, we continue to a greater world. Whether that destination is called heaven, nirvana, or simply the other side, tradition teaches us that there is, in most cases, a fairy-tale ending to life, a place where joy and harmony reign supreme. Yet, as this book attests, there is still more to heaven and Earth than is dreamt of in our philosophies.

John was 15 when it began. Visions, voices, feelings, an ability to make up stories about the future that, uncannily, came true. Actually, in retrospect, he was probably much younger than that, but it wasn't until he reached his teens that he realized his abilities were extraordinary. John Edward is now a renowned psychic medium whose talents are matched by only a handful of people in the world. One Last Time is his remarkable story.

Not what I’d expected from the description
I’m frustrated. And this is why. I bought this audio book thinking it would be an in depth look at secrets of the afterlife by a world renowned Medium. Answering questions like what happens when we die, where do we go, what’s life like on the other side, etc. Colin Fry touches on these things briefly, but the rest of the book is full of anecdotes and him teaching us about forgiveness and what true happiness and how to truly be happy, etc. I wasn’t looking for a self help book.
In addition, this audiobook is less than an hour and a half long, which I didn’t realize until after I’d purchased it. I would rather have bought the physical book and quickly read it than have used an entire credit to purchase a book this short.
This is nothing against Colin Frye and his extraordinary ability at mediumship. But if you’re looking for a book to get an in depth look at the afterlife that answers a lot of your questions, this ain’t it.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
