Despite his warriors' lineage, Erroh would rather waste his potential stumbling alone from one tavern to the next, drinking and gambling. Fate, however, has greater plans for him. Story
It has been thousands of years since beast-kind were united under one banner. The empire encompasses most of the known world, driving out or enslaving the lesser races without mercy. In a state of constant war and conquest, they have perfected the art of battle. For commoner wolf-kind Valian, being accepted and trained in a noble house's army was a dream come true. Without wealth or a family, it was his best shot at attaining honor and glory. Until fate intervened. When Valian discovers he's descended from an ancient and long-thought-extinct line, everything changes.

The crow hissed: "Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t cut your throat here and now. One single damn reason." The prince froze with fear and said nothing. At last, his behavior was logical. His facial features had lost any order. Shivering, he closed his eyes in expectation of certain death. But then there was a whispering. "Could there be three reasons maybe?" She suppressed the reflex to laugh—she hadn’t laughed aloud for years and was not sure if the muscles needed were even still functioning.

This is a battle he fights alone, for after they defeated the Eternals, the enemy used their magic to pose as their conquered opponents, taking over rule of the world in their stead. For the last 100 years, the people have believed that the legendary Eternals triumphed, that they are safe. Only the wanderer knows the truth .

Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. War with the Andarens is like nothing the Riders, nor the armies of Erador, have ever faced. In the place of heroes, there are only soldiers now. Fodder for the machine of war. Publisher's summary
Family runs deep. Betrayal cuts deeper.
Sixteen years have passed since the Shadow Knights brought peace to Terrenor, and now a new generation of warriors fights to keep it.
Lia has the potential to be the best knight of them all. Her swordsmanship and control of the origine far exceed her young age. The Shadow Knights' leaders push for her to live up to her potential, but her rebellious nature isn't interested in listening. Even worse, the insistent leaders are her parents.
In an attempt to challenge her, Lia's parents give her a position of responsibility. At first, she steps up, training others and leading missions, but when things around her unravel, she questions everything once more.
Meanwhile, the Shadow Knights discover a new threat unlike anything they've encountered before. A group with powers far beyond the Knights' capabilities seeks to wipe them out, and they're powerless to stop them.
Fighting with her own question of purpose and wondering if her parents will ever accept her as she is, Lia must choose between saving herself or that of her Shadow Knight family.
With epic fights, complex characters, and a riveting plot, Shadow of Betrayal begins the new Shadow Knights Generations Trilogy. Join Lia and the Knights as they face their greatest challenge yet in the first book of this thrilling new story.

Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's "forerunners." The rewards are great, but the danger is greater. We are not alone in the universe. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform. Will Silas have what it takes to win Earth a place in the multiverse? Or will Earth become another mining world stripped of all resources and left a barren husk floating in the cosmos?

Inconsistent character traits
The idea is great, the story is good. My problem was the inconsistency with the characters. One chapter has them getting beat up by 2 random guys then they take on and win against 100 elite soldiers. It was also quite frustrating because their powers literally never worked for them. Just couldn’t get into it, found myself pausing it so I could yell about how dumb it is.
