Publisher's summary

Greg may be an omega, but he doesn't let that define him. Aside from his almost compulsive need to clean, the most important thing to him is his job as the long-time bartender at The Big O. Greg is far from a delicate omega. In fact, he’s the same size as his best friend - an alpha who he always falls back into bed with when they’re between relationships.

Braden is a casual kind of alpha bro. He spends his time - and makes his money - playing video games. A slacker who never leaves the house, let alone bothers with unnecessary details like getting dressed, Braden is happy to settle into a non-relationship agreement with his bestie. It’s not like they’re gonna do anything silly like fall in love anyway - they’re just bros being bros.

When Greg saves the life of a quirky Irishman, he’s given an unexpected boon - his lifelong infertility is miraculously cured and he finds himself pregnant. Too bad nobody gave him the heads up that this was even a possibility.

Return to Hollydale for a friends to lovers tale of two guys who are perfect for each other, if they can just open their hearts and risk their friendship by taking a chance on love.

Shamrock Spiced Omega

I’m gonna keep this one Short and Sweet.... Just like the book.

Every book in this series has been super cute so far. Every character we’ve met along the way has been likeable. This book really made me smile quite a bit along the way too. I’ve really enjoyed all of the books in this whole series. Between Susi’s writing and Drew’s Narrating it really is the perfect blend. Drew does great voicing Greg and Braden and I love listening to his spin on all the guys in these books.

Sweet!

I love this low-angst, sweet romance with a side of sexy times. Best buds Braden and Greg need a little shove to get them going in the right direction, though it takes them a while longer to realize they need to stop hiding from each other and talk. Sometimes they’re a little too “young” in their speech for my taste, but I’ll let it slide, since though they may sound like overgrown children sometimes, they mostly act like grownups with adult emotions. The narration was quite good. Drew Bacca’s Irish brogue is delightful.

A Bromance unlike any other

So, I thoroughly enjoyed this latest audio in the Hollydale series. The story is a lovely friends to lovers that move quickly into so much more. I found myself lost in the enigmatic story voiced the the incomparable Drew Bacca. His voice leads lots of fun and a little bit of spunk. The story is very enjoyable and flows very quickly. Over all a fun little listen.

Friends and so much more

Wow if I hear the word “bro” again.... I really liked the story and hearing how Greg and Braden make the move from friends to something more. They have been friends for many years and always have each other’s back no matter what comes their way. They have lots of fun and know almost everything about one another and it’s really great to see how they grow and change. Their story was short but so incredibly sweet. I really liked the narrator and the good job he did with bringing their story to life.

Bromegas, Alien Peanuts, & Gold Coins

For mpreg, this book was enjoyable. I’m still struggling with the whole, how does the omega man get pregnant, and, in this book, give birth? If you’re willing to forgo logic, then this is a cute little book. I want to say up front that there were way too many ‘bro’ mentions. I got it and although they were creative, they did become annoying. Also, sometimes pregnant omegas behave like stereotypical women and I wish that wasn’t so. If I wanted a whiny and insecure pregnant person, I could easily read an m/f book.

Okay, all that aside, I did enjoy the book. Braden and Greg have been friends forever, doing random hook-ups with each other when there’s nothing better going on. Since they live together, this arrangement is pretty convenient. Both see the good in the other person but while Greg is the responsible one with a regular job, Braden stays home and plays videogames. He happens to make a good living at it, but he doesn’t share that information with Greg. When each man realizes something’s missing in his life and his best friend might fill that void, he makes a move. Fortunately those feelings are mirrored and they begin a real relationship. Throw in a leprechaun, an unintended miracle pregnancy, and some gold coins and things get interesting. I liked that eventually the men did communicate and come to respect the other. Fall in love, even. And I loved their little bundle of joy.

Drew Bacca does a good job narrating the story, hitting just the right note for each man. Also, this is part of a series, so previous characters do reappear. I do appreciate, whenever possible, that the same narrator performs the entire series. I also thought the Shamrock theme was cute and that each story follows a holiday theme. As a woman with Irish heritage, I was extra thrilled to have the stereotypical Irish references. I hadn’t read the previous books but wasn’t lost so don’t worry if you’re dropping in mid-series. Overall, it was a cute and quick listen that I can recommend.
