The boys desperately need a vacation. With the not-quite-ill-gotten gains from the Frog incident, Shax takes the Brimstone's crew to the exclusive resort planet, Opal, for some much needed rest and relaxation. The resort has everything a demon prince and his crew could want, but an incident on the Trauma Ball court sends Ness stalking off in anger and sends events swiftly spiraling out of control.
Shax will need every bit of his cunning and his legendary luck to save his Ness as he's drawn into a web of criminal experiments and...pink hedgehogs?

I’m feeling a little concern at this point, because I want to know what comes next in the series, but I’ll admit that, other than the great story, one of the things that have me hook to it is the great job Vance Bastian is doing with the narration. I’d listen to all of the pats of the series and I want to keep it that way, but the next one isn’t out in audio yet, so I’m struggling deciding what to do.
The book was great. I can’t believe how much I’m loving this awkward group of characters, so unlike of what I’m used to love. Ness is the sweetest character, Shax, Verin and Miss Ivana are so much fun, sorry but I’m not so fond on the cowboy and I don’t know how to write his name, I guess there’s nothing wrong with him, but he just isn’t my favorite character. There was also this other character introduced to us that was totally adorable.
The plot was very interesting, although I think it lack a warning, I don’t think any reader would be ok with some violent events that happened but I really shouldn’t say more about it because it is a spoiler. I loved seen Shax reaction to the events, for a demon he is just the sweetest thing ever. I don’t think I have ever mention it but I love all the names he call Ness, they are adorable together.
The narration, again, was fantastic. I’m really amazed by how the narrator manage to give voice to such big number of different characters and everyone was so easily identify. I’m absolutely in love with the way he is narrating the story.
Amazing book. Really fun
