Second book, as good as the first!

If you haven’t read the first book in the series yet, go back and start with Shade! This is not one of those series where you can skip around.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first. It’s very hard to talk about this story without giving too much away! The love triangle continues, and Zachary isn’t willing to sit back and play second fiddle (pun intended) to a ghostly rocker. The level of emotion continues from the first book, as does the level of threat from assorted government agencies. They don’t seem to be willing to take a back seat either!

We also learn more about the background of the Shift, and some of Aura’s mother’s secrets. The story ends at a reasonable stopping point, but I’m chomping at the bit to read the next book. Still think the narrator does a great job too. Fun older YA series!

ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE!!

Absolutely in love!! I am so glad they chose to make these into Audible books! I am reliving one of my favorite books. The narrator is great and really does a great job on the voice changes! Can't wait to start book 3!!

Grabbing Story

Would you consider the audio edition of Shift to be better than the print version?

Love this mix of ghosts and people. The romance interests kept you wanting to see more between people and ghosts and between Zachary and Aura. A third book would be great. Because there is still alot of mystery to be explained around the shift concept. Also control of people's lives or non lives by agencies during the story was a scarey idea that inspires all rebels.

What about Khristine Hvam’s performance did you like?

Loved the use of a scottish accent when needed for Zachary. Her voice was soothing for listening. Definitely better than a print version.

Good.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I think the author could be describe a little more about the Shadows.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I don't know. The relationship between Aura and Ben is boring sometimes. The moments of action are goods, but i don't know how explain.

Was Shift worth the listening time?

Yes, I think the triology worth to be listening. The story is good, but there is something missing that I can't explain.
