Captured the sensation of actually doing mounted shooting as well as a written narrative could.

I started listening to this yesterday morning and used all available time to finish it today (30 hrs later) which speaks highly for the enjoyment factor. I'am writing this review having literally just finished the recording so like Larson my review is shot from the hip.

As an active mounted shooter I enjoyed the gun and shooting history. As a horseman (fledgling) I was amused and often frightened by Dave's newbie antics. As a reader I enjoyed the the entire book.

As usual Mr. Blocks narration was excellent. It was surreal hearing the narrator as a character in the book.

Narration was awesome and the book made me want to go buy a horse and start the sport.

Being a mounted shooter myself, I can picture all the things that David said, going on in my head! I'm sure I have my own ritual! Tom Block also did a delightful job narrating the story!

Funny and true!
