great story didn't need the blasphemy!

I enjoyed the story. it kept me wanted to listen more. however, I am at a loss as to why writers think it brings value to include GD over and over again.

Confused

Lots of good reviews.
Narration was not those great. Sounds like a young girl wrote the story. Flow was not that great.

Twists and Turns

Just when you think you know what’s going on- you have no idea. My only suggestion would be that the author needed to do a little more medical research. The contrast for MRI is gadolinium not iodine. Iodine is for CT scan. Also the ages of the Melissa and Aubrey for the types of cancer they have are not common at all-they are a bit young.

Not my typical genre but I loved it!

I absolutely LOVED this book. It kept me guessing the whole way and proved me wrong over and over. Aubrey is such a fantastic character that I couldn’t help but connect with. Such a great book.

I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fast-paced, engaging, psychological adventure. I really enjoyed it and it was a nice break between epic fantasies for me. I loved the in-depth look at mental health and coping with a serious disease. It was great to get into the minds of the characters.

The performance was really good overall and gave the characters even more life. The voicing of Aubrey in particular was great. I feel like her sarcasm and wit comes across perfectly.

Love love love

Narration is amazing.
Storyline kept me guessing the whole time which is rare. I usually get bored and figure out the plot and give up. This book, however, was shocking and twisty and took me places and then new ones. I highly recommend.
I’ve been getting done 4.6 and up books and been unhappy so maybe I’m quirky. But this book is different and that’s good with all the knockoff books out there.
Original is good and rare.

Flew Through It

What made the experience of listening to Sick Girl the most enjoyable?

Bought this on a whim and loved it. The story moved quickly and while there is some predictability throughout, it was really entertaining.

What about Avery Reid’s performance did you like?

Narrator had a pleasant voice and didn't attempt to "overact" the characters

Any additional comments?

Great listen for a road trip!

Entertaining with a twist

Told from the perspective of Melissa and Aubrey, this was an entertaining read. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but it picked up steam and I enjoyed the ending. There were a few twists, including one I didn’t see. This was a 3.75 for me overall.
