Well done! This was an interesting read from the beginning and continued all the way to the end. I thought the plot was unique and it kept me attention throughout. I don't think the action/suspense was a high as the previous two books, but it was enjoyable.

I loved this story as an ebook, and loved it even more as an audiobook. It takes the story to technicolor levels.
In this third book in the series, the author delivers another winner. If you are new to the series, rest assure it’s a stand alone. That said, your experience would be enriched if you read the previous. All great stories.
Mac Collins is a man that left the Marines, a profession he loved, when his parents died when his brothers were young. He is not only their brother and provider, but also the man that has taken care of them like a father. One they love very much.
Adeline Rodriguez is a woman who has dealt with violence in the past, and has found peace and a business she loves in Verona Bay. She’s been attracted to Mac but when he finally asks her out, he cancels at the last minute. Little did she know that rather than put her in danger, he chose to lose his chance with her.
But the danger takes over and now they are all trying to stay alive.
Will they survive and find their HEA or will the evil triumph?
In this suspenseful romance, we are also reminded that life is not white and black but rather different shades of gray. That circumstance might force you to do the unimaginable for yourself and your family.
Another great book by this talented storyteller.

Audiobook:  Narrators - Heather Costa & Jeffrey Kafer


I’m a huge fan of Mr. Kafer so it’s no surprise that I loved his narration of Mac.  Such a great performance that brought to life that certain something that makes me fall in love with a character. Likewise, Ms. Costa did an amazing job with Adeline and together this duo made this book so much more than reading alone, which is why I love to read then listen.  Costa and Kafer made this audiobook worth waiting for!



Mac is a prime example of the type of alpha heroes I love.  His protection of Adeline was fierce in its intensity and I couldn’t get enough of it.  When things took a turn he was a force to be reckoned with as he fought to keep her safe.  And she wasn’t even his yet!


This has a lot of action and a villainous storyline that could easily be myself or a neighbor as I felt such a connection to the validity of it.  It’s built on insta-attraction but still a very slow burn to the culmination of desire.  I loved Mac’s brothers and the fact that he was as protective of them as he was of Adeline.  Seeing that side of him was wonderful and had me falling even harder for him.


While it isn’t necessary to read the previous books in this series, I highly recommend that you do so just so you can make a connection to all the characters.  However, this gives enough information that you can easily follow it without feeling as though you’re missing anything.
