Publisher's summary

Listen to Bishop’s Knight, the first novel in this all new heart-pounding Endgame trilogy!

She needs his help...

Thanks to years of government training, Evie Bishop knows how to get into places she doesn’t belong - and she’s very good at it. But years of doing black ops work burned her out so she returns home - to unexpected chaos. One of her brothers is in a coma and the other is in hiding, wanted for murder. Then a fellow operative from her past shows up shot and bleeding with news that an assassin is gunning for everyone involved with a past op. She’s forced to turn to the one man she knows she can trust - the man whose heart she broke.

But it will come with a price...

When Dylan Blackwood proposed a year ago, Evie turned him down flat and walked out of his life. He’s stunned when he finds her on his doorstep covered in someone else’s blood, needing his help. He always knew there was more to her than met the eye - that Evie was never simply the pampered society princess she wanted people to believe she was. But he never expected this. If she needs help, he’ll give it. Even if he can’t forget her betrayal. Even if he isn’t sure he can trust her. But his protection will come with a price - her heart. Before they can have a chance at a future, they’ll have to work together to take down a faceless enemy who has Evie firmly in his crosshairs.

First in new trilogy.

Author note: Each book in this trilogy features different main characters and can be listened to as a stand-alone, complete with HEA.

Great story

Great book, just wish the narrators were different. It was tough to figure out the voices.

Entertaining!!!

I really enjoyed the first book in this new trilogy. The chemistry between Evie Bishop and Dylan Blackwood was never lacking. You could tell right from the beginning that they clearly loved each other. Despite what happened between them in the past, Dylan was right there for Evie regardless of whether it was for the situations involving involving her family or her past career. The narrators, Jeffrey Kaffer and Heather Costa did a wonderful job. I am not normally a big fan of dual narration but I thought that their voices worked together wonderfully and added to the enjoyment of the story. I am looking forward to the next two books in this trilogy and seeing how the drama surrounding the Bishop family gets resolved.

This is what I'm talking about!!!!

Audiobook: Narrators – Jeffrey Kafer and Heather Costa

I absolutely LOVED this narration! After reading this book I couldn’t wait to listen to it and I’m so glad I did! These narrators bring these characters to life in a way that pulled me into this world more so than the book alone. Can’t recommend the audio enough!

Oh yeah! Now this is what I’m talking about when I’m looking for a great romantic suspense!

Evie has carried guilt for the last year after using Dylan to make a connection to a CIA target her group was looking to take down. She never expected to fall for him, but just reading his bio before she officially met him caused a reaction within her. Actually getting to know him meant falling in love and when he proposed, her lies and guilt overwhelmed her and she could do nothing but run.

Dylan was all in with Evie from the first moment he saw her. Their relationship was everything he didn’t know he wanted. When she rejected him he was left broken hearted and confused. Now she’s in need of help for a friend and this time he’s going to get all the answers to his questions. And then he’s going to get her.

”Knowing she was in his house, under his roof, turned him on. Everything she did turned him on. It was beyond reason.
But that was just the way it was and he was going to have to accept it. Because he didn’t think there was another woman for him other than Evie Bishop. She was his not-so-secret addiction.”

This starts off with a wild action sequence and never slows down. Evie is one kick butt heroine and I was afraid that I wouldn’t like Dylan for her because of it. But that was not the case.

”Sometimes when she looked at him, she saw the warrior looking back at her. He might have left the Marines, but the Marines hadn’t left him.”

He not only held his own, he was protective without stepping on her toes or acting as if she wasn’t fully capable. He allowed her to do her job as she saw fit, even when everything within him said to grab her up and run. I love a strong hero and Dylan proved that having the strength to let his woman do what was needed, even when it went against his own desires, made a hero even more alluring.

There are several issues going on in this story. Some are in regards to Evie’s brothers and I can’t wait to read their books. The other is a mystery that Evie and her friend are trying to solve. As they delve deeper into what’s going on, I had a suspicion of who the villain was. I was wrong. Which is often the case in this author’s stories. But the unraveling of the clues, the final plan to trap the bad guy and the resulting consequences of that plan, had my heart in my throat.

This is one adrenaline inducing read that totally enraptured me page after page. This is one of those books you’ll want to read in one sitting. Unfortunately, life royally screwed me over and I was unable to do so. In between life I was sneaking one more page or paragraph because I couldn’t let it go. So heads up, be sure you’ve got your schedule cleared and don’t answer your phone! (My biggest mistake!)

SPECIAL OP MISSION

BISHOP’S..KNIGHT...Kathie Rues.
Special OPs mission of three months was to end tonight . Small mafia operation selling weapons to terrorists, wanting to take him out, before it got to be a big problem. Evie worked on the side of grey with the CIA , this wasn’t how it was to be. Her brother Ellis was in hiding, accused of murdering one of his partner’s with the DEA, which she knew wasn’t true, he was being set up.
Another brother in a coma. Then Samantha an operative from her past comes to her, bleeding. An OPs from the past is gunning for them. A man from her past, is the only one who could help, but would he, after she turned him down. Full of action, past memories, and a mission of the past to clear up once and for all. Narration by Jeffrey Kafer,..Heather.Costa.was excellent

Wow OH Wow! Sooo Good!

Wow oh wow! Is this a good book or what? I loved everything about this story! It’s full of action, suspense, romance. You name it it’s in here! Evie is a former CIA agent. Through that time she had a case where she met Dylan Blackwood. Little did Dylan know that he was part of that op. She needed him to forward their case. Well funny how this happened but they each ended up with feelings for each other. So he decided to propose and she left. Left! Ghosted him! Argh!! Now she brings him back Into her life to help a former co-worker. Danger decides to follow her.

Dylan was awesome in here! He is the perfect guy! Strong and silent when each need arises. Plus he still has the hots for Evie. So everything he does...he does with her safety and love in mind. Secondary characters Always help make a story. These are no exception. I wonder if a few will get their own stories :-)

This is a first time author for me. I love the flow of the story. It easily kept me wowed! The characters were great And deeply complex. I listened to this on audio with Jeffrey Kafer and Heather Costa. Each did a amazing job and they were easy and joyful to listen to.

Absolutely fantastic first in a new series by this

Absolutely fantastic first in a new series by this author. I also love how it's dually narrated. I have listened to many narrations by Jeffrey Kafer; however, this is a first for narration by Heather Costa. They do a remarkable job of bringing this story to life. The story is strong, and an amazing first for this series I cannot wait to see what else the author will give us. Evie is one tough woman until him... Dylan will never give her up... I loved the chemistry between Evie and Dylan

Falling For The Bishops

The Bishop Family is in chaos. Evie can't believe one brother is in a coma injured in a bombing while the second is on the run accused of murder. Evie is home trying to understand what's going on. She's plans to use her resources to get answers. What no one knows is that she's a retired CIA operative. I liked that Evie may seem to be a socialite with impressive family connections, but in reality she has lethal skills and worked dark ops. Suddenly her life takes a dangerous turn. Someone is trying to kill her and her former teammate. As a result she reconnects with former love, Dylan Blackwood. She broke his heart when she rejected him. I l was impressed how Dylan had her back. When they're together the chemistry is off the charts. I understood why Evie left him but I was sorry she hurt him. He's a great guy and a powerful partner. He's intelligent and honorable. I was glad that Dylan is seeing the real Evie. Katie Reus has a winner with Bishop's Knight. I liked the characters. They are a powerful and fierce. They will fight for what's right. Dylan and Evie are both strong characters. The story is suspenseful with some unexpected twists. I wanted to know who is behind the attempted murders. Why are they trying to silence her and her friend? Miami is the perfect setting. I'm hooked on this Trilogy. I can't wait to learn more about this fascinating family. The narration added to my enjoyment. I felt as if I was right there in the middle of the excitement.

Great stand alone

I dislike cliffhangers so I was thrilled Ms Reus’ trilogy didn’t leave everyone hanging about the main characters. This book is the story of Eve, one of 3 Bishop siblings. While the entire family is under a dark cloud, Eve is a strong, capable woman who worked as a spy when she met Dylan. They’re thrown back together when she returns home and he gets to see a different side of the woman he fell in love with, and who walked away. She’s equal parts strong and vulnerable, as is he. He doesn’t beT his chest and make demands, but stands next to her when she needs help. Sexy steamy scenes and great character development with a nice, tight storyline make this a must! Plus, no overly dramatic, melodrama insight!
