About this listen

Skye can handle anything...almost. He's battled bullies and foes most would not believe; he's fought against impossible odds and survived the un-survivable, but nothing that has come before has prepared him for the greatest challenge of all: fatherhood.

Excellent Story

Very original storyline. Bryant Sullivan is my favorite narrator for Mark Roeder's novels, but the deep voice for Skye seems to alter the tone of Skye's narrative. I hope Bryant Sullivan keeps narrating Roeder's work and they be given opportunity to consult and collaborate on the caracters' voices. Great work!

Another winner by Mark...

This entire book was a super Audio Book.

The characters were very endearing. You felt the joy you felt your pain.

The reason for the four stars instead of five was because of the narrator's perception of what Sky's Voice would be like. The tone that the narrator used was far too deep and too "Rusty".
That's the only way I can describe his voice.

I hope that Mark uses a different narrator next time.

Weird cliff-hanger feeling

First, i didnt like the narrators voice for skye - to deep and growling, but i Think its a matter of taste so some May Think its perfect. Second, there is something weird about the story - hinting at skyes abililies being kind of supernatural while Never explaning it. I kept thinking i must have missed that it was a sequal, but that did not Seem to be the case when i looked it up. (I could be wrong - i Seem to remember some comments On this from earlier but couldnt find it again) So there is a lot of unexplaned hints to previous relations/events in this book that irritated me while listening. Either there should have been a previous book or there May be a sequal at some point. I liked the relationship between skye and Colin and that kept me listening. Its not a gay romance Novel - not Any romance at all - just hookups. Since i found it with that seach word, i Think it is misplaced in that section. And you dont get it from the summary, but it is a supernatural story.
