About this listen

Former Special Forces Green Beret, Sacha “Joker” Wilder, is well-versed on the subject of demolitions. As a silent partner of Four Kings Security, Joker spends his days working alongside his brothers-in-arms and his best boy, Chip - a bomb-sniffing Belgian Malinois with sass. Years of military and private security experience have prepared Joker for almost anything, except the explosive attraction between him and Giovanni Galanos.

When Gio returns from his travels abroad, everyone is charmed by the handsome billionaire philanthropist, but in Joker’s experience, anyone who’s too good to be true usually is. Gio is hiding something, but the more time Joker spends around Gio, the more his walls start crumbling, leaving him exposed and at risk of losing his heart, something he swore he would never do. Love is for suckers, and that’s not him.

For years Gio has dedicated his life to his charity work, helping people around the globe, but when things go horribly wrong during one particular trip, Gio decides it’s time to come home for good. The desire for family, and a certain ex-Green Beret with a chip on his shoulder, has Gio eager to restart his life Stateside. For all of Sacha’s blustering and griping, no one makes Gio feel safer. If only Sacha could see how right they are for each other.

Danger lurks in the shadows as someone sets their sights on Gio, and secrets are forced into the light. If Gio and Joker are to have any kind of future together, they’ll have to face difficult truths, because where love is concerned, it’ll take more than sleight of hand to make things work.

The Kings: Wild Cards series is a spin-off of the Four Kings Security series.

Best book ever

I loved how the fight for love is surreal and emotional. I want more.

One more great hand of wildcards

Joker's and Gio's story was so good! You can expect the usual suspense and thrills, romance, scorching hot sex scenes, true love and friendship. Add in Chip's antics and the rest of the team's shenanigans, and it gets even more perfect.
I so recommend this séries, and I can't wait for the next book. I need to know what happens with Saint and Val, and also to cousin Gage!

Joker and Gio

I loved this series so so much!! I love how Joker and Gio interacted with each other. Charlie is amazing and set it up for the next series that I can't wait for! Greg Boudreaux did an awesome job with it. I will definitely listen to this again.

Love Joker & Gio

I love Joker and Gio! I have to admit liking Joker's reluctance to find any redeeming qualities to Gio at first. So it was wonderful seeing Joker realize he was wrong. This book has a little of all the feels. I enjoyed this series and would love more books with these men! (Please, please, please? With sugar on top?)

The wait was worth it

I am a huge fan of this series. I hope there will be more adventures with the four kings, wild cards and their boyfriend collectives! I was dying of anticipation for this installment and I have to say it was definitely worth it. the chemistry between the two was no doubt something hot and sizzling. I thought it was kind of weird but cute that Gio was already infatuated with Joker even before they truly met face to face. I want all of them to marry and see more adventures from them and from any universe Charlie Cochet can think up.

A fabulous read, I couldn't put it down.

I adored this grumpy special forces guy who was never going to fall in love and the guy who was determined to get him from the moment he heard his voice. Great book whether you read it or listen to it.

Worth the wait

I really loved this book. Had been looking forward when it was teased on the previous books and somewhat impatiently waited till it was released.
What I really loved about this book that it was Gio and Joker’s story. The focus is really on them, no secondary characters that steal the limelight. The couple’s dynamic was refreshing and i really love Joker’s transformation from ‘Love is for suckers’ to ‘I love him’
Having it to audiobook was really good. I could not stop giggling at funny parts and made me cry again on the serious parts.
I really thank the author for creating this really good book and the narrator for making this wonderful book come alive.

📖 Story comment: Good pace, likeable characters, nice flow.
I was thoroughly entertained with Joker and Gio. I liked that these guys didn't dance around each other for half the book! Gio is a great character and an excellent addition to the "boyfriend collective". 😊

🎧 Narrator comment: Greg Tremblay is a master at his craft! He suits the characters, has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall an enjoyable performance and he bought the book to life.

OMG This might rival King's book as my favorite!

OK I never thought I'd love a Kings book more than King and Leo's - but this one? It might do it.

Annnnd this book is just as good in audio as I knew it would be. Greg is stellar, as always, and OMG I just love them together. Joker is such a grump, the boyfriend collective is amazing, and really - it's Chip's world, we just live in it!

I just absolutely, completely, totally loved this book. (And really - let's face it, this IS Chip's book LOL)
