Publisher's summary

"You're a woman who is comfortable in her own sexuality. That necessarily means you must be labeled, categorized, and filed away for everyone's safety."

Rebecca "Bex" Foxworth likes that description of herself. It makes her sound strong, dangerous, and powerful - like she's standing against some grand injustice by using her body as she sees fit. That's how her friend, Claire Howard, sees her, and if Claire has taught her anything it's that labels are defined by the people who wear them, not the other way around.

But slut is more than a label to Bex: it's her armor. It protects her from ever having to share her true self. The loop in her head tells her she's innately flawed and wholly unworthy. Why else would her parents insist she go under the knife for a new nose, a new body, and plastic perfection?

That's something Thornton Henry Edgeleaf would never understand. Thornton is perfect in every way - handsome, worldly, passionate - with just one unforgivable flaw: he's utterly sincere. It makes Bex want to run screaming, back into the familiar, indifferent arms of men who won't fail to dismiss and mistreat her. But nothing's as easy as it used to be....

I like Bex!

She's strong, confident and afraid to get close to men . . . like me! lol! The only difference is I don't have the money nor have I had the plastic surgery 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm pretty sure I would have responded the exact same way had Thornton shown up in my life. Glad she got her happy ending tho.

An Enjoyable Listen

A compelling story with familiar characters. It really puts the idea of "sluts" in perspective. A good blend of steamy sex and moral wisdom.

Very depressing stoy

Would you try another book from Saranna DeWylde and/or Hollie Jackson?

Yes they are both very good but this story just hit me wrong

What could Saranna DeWylde have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The main character had too much baggage to let go of and those around her wouldn't let her forget. Even in the end there was no closure on her circumstances.

Which character – as performed by Hollie Jackson – was your favorite?

Hollie Jackson was great it was the story that bothered me.

Any additional comments?

I just couldn't deal with this young persons hate for herself and those who made her feel that way. Yes she was a bit better in the end of the book but there was so much that could have made the story better. I'm not a writer or editor but I felt this book is something I can't recommend.
