#1 New York Times Bestseller

The plane crashed without warning. Three hundred and thirty people died. No explanation. No survivors. Now one man who lost everything that night is about to discover the answers he needs to go on with his life - or the conviction to finally end it.

Crime reporter Joe Carpenter lost his wife and two daughters in the crash of Flight 353. Aching from his loss, Joe is unable to work, think, or do anything but grieve, and wait for his own death. Then Joe meets Rose, a woman who claims to be the crash’s sole survivor. But before Joe can probe further, the elusive Rose slips away and Joe is left with haunting, terrifying questions: If Rose lived through the crash, is it possible his family could have survived it, too? Did the authorities conspire to hide what really happened that night? Joe’s search for the truth will shatter him like nothing has before - and force him to question everything he thinks he knows about life and death.

A great read (or listen)!!

I so enjoyed listening to the first book I read by Dean Koontz years ago. This is the book that got me hooked on this wonderful author.

Disappointed

I like the previous books but this one did grab me - it lost my interest

Koontz Hasn't Slowed Down

It's been several years since I've listened to a Dean Koontz book, but this one shows no sign of the author losing his touch. The story is compelling, complete, and the writing is excellent. Exactly what we still expect from the prolific Koontz.

Not for me

Not my favorite story. I struggled to finish listening to this one. I normally like this author.

Not my favorite, but

Couldn’t stop listening - love the language - Koontz is a master of the metaphor. The story was - well, disturbing, sad and ultimately, to me, unfinished.

Endearing and enthralling

Reading this reading thisbook from a different perspective that I had read many of the books before..
I have been installed by several of Mr. Koontz most recent novels and this one kept me enthralled to the end.

Another good one

Dean Koontz writes things that actually make you think. He addresses things on a deeper level. I really enjoy the books, even when they’re scary! (And I don’t like horror). Mostly because somehow he pulls it all together at the end, and there’s a moral, good people and an ending that makes you think … enjoy!

First Koontz Read

Decent story but not certain that this is my forte. Enjoyed it but boy the best either. A bit slow.

Good story but…

Too wordy for me. Koontz uses 10 words when 5 will do. The story was good and the narrator was great. The ending felt rushed. The story went on and on until it seemed somebody looked at the clock and said we need to wrap it up.
