Amazing!
First off the voice of the narrator is very soothing and puts me at ease! This guide on somatic therapy truly changed my outlook. I have alot of anger and resentment that I really need help dealing with. The interactive exercises were easy to follow and put into practice. I feel more grounded, attuned to my body, and empowered to continue my self-discovery journey. This is a long journey and books like this one help educate you at home which is empowering as well! I am a fan!
This book provided me with a lot of value. I am familiar with traditional therapy. This approach was new to me. I like having this new tool. For example, the body scan exercise gave me a practical and simple tool to utilize when feeling stressed or anxious. It is interesting to try to identify where your body is holding stress.
I am going to test some of these new tools in conjunction with deep breathing exercises. I am excited to see how well I can continue to gain control of life's stressors. This is a good book.
