About this listen

Vincent Owen. He was gorgeous. He was cocky. He was a complete and total douche bag, and I was head over heels for him.

He left to become a champion, a warrior among men. And though he said he would call, I never heard from him again.

I never admitted to him how I felt. I never told him he made everything inside of me that hurt go away and everything that was wrong with me feel right - even if it were just for a little while. And that when he left, he took a little piece of me with him, a piece of my heart I could never get back.

That was then, and this is now, and none of that matters anymore.

It all changed the day my daughter, Violet, was born. I moved on; life became about her and keeping my family ranch running. But now, he's back to pay his respects to the man his best friend considered a father. A man our whole town loved, and he's about to find out that's not the only thing waiting for him in Evansdale.

Together again, it's time to face the truth. For both of us.

The biggest question now is: Is he ready for something like this?

Vincent and Siobhan are awesome!

Vincent left Siobhan behind 7 years ago and never looked back. When a friend dies and he comes back for the funeral.. he is anxious so see Von again... he has missed her. What he sees, however, causes him to reevaluate everything.

I love these books!!! I live the characters and all of the storylines! This one is a favorite because of the strength Siobhan has and how she takes care of everything and everyone around her... but has difficulty letting anyone take care of her! She is a force and I love how Vince cares for her.
The story is excellent! And Isabella Starr does a good job with the narration.

Sweet book, low angst dual POV

This is a second chance romance. Vin left Von to become a MMA star. 8 years later, he comes back and he wants to Von back. Can Von forgive Vin? And can Von get over the surprise that he finds when he finds Von again? It was great to revisit the prior characters and this was probably my favorite of the series just because there was less push and pull (in prior books, it became a little repetitive). It showcased true issues associated with relationships, especially those that started off rocky, but both characters were really compelling and likable. You don't need to read the other 2 books in the series but there are reoccurring characters.

While Isabella Starr did really well (even playing Vin and the other male characters), since this book was written using a dual POV, it would have been better to have both a male and female narrator. Otherwise, I do think she did a pretty good job at differentiating between characters.

Good book

I enjoyed this next installment of the men of evansdale. Vin & Von are a fun story of a second chance at love. I was rooting for them. However, the reader was a slow talker, but speeding up the sound was too fast. I hope the next installment goes to another reader. Great story though!

Vin, Von, and Violet

Vin and Von. It was all fun, right? He said he would call when he got his big break. He went on to be the champion, she went on to be a mom. She didn't hear from him. Her daughter Violet became her life. She kept the ranch going, she worked at the diner, and she was the best mom she could be. Alone. But now he's back for the funeral of the man who once trained him, the man who was like a father to his best friend. He wants to see the girl he left behind. Wait until he finds out he has two girls he left behind.

I wasn't sure that I would like this story. I did. I don't like that Vin left everyone he claimed to care for behind. He only talked to his best friend on the phone. He missed his wedding. He missed the births of his children. He never bothered to make time to return Von's calls. His selfishness caused him to miss so many years in his own daughter's life. Inexcusable. But I guess that's punishment enough, he can never get back that lost time. I did love how once he knew about Violet he was all in. Their relationship was precious. He was good with Von too. He didn't make excuses, he knew he made mistakes. Then he did better. He did right by his girls, he was great on the ranch, and he embraced family. Once he was back in town, he found his place. This made for the perfect second chance story.

Isabella Starr did an excellent job with the narration. She captured Von and Violet perfectly. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Another great additions to this series. I really enjoyed these two and was so glad to see they didn’t hold things against each other for a long time. These two are so happy when together and when their daughter is in the mix it’s bliss. The narration of this book was fantastic as well. I really enjoyed the peek into the next book too!

Great Read

Something Like This: The Men of Evansdale County Volume Three was another great read by Alyne Hart. Von's heart broke last year when Vince left to become a champion. When he left, she never told him how badly that affected her. But the day her daughter, Violet, was born everything changed for her. She will do anything to keep her family's ranch running. Vince and Von can't fight their attraction when years later they are brought together again. Only this time Von has a secret that could ruin everything. I really enjoyed Von and Vince's story, and can't wait to read more by Alyne Hart. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Good second chance

I enjoyed this installment of the men of Evansdale county. It was a good second chance romance. At times it was a little bit predictable but it was actually fun and flirty.
