About this listen

A warrior without a soul...

Raze NaFeen has sacrificed everything in service of his fellow Detyen warriors. Refugees without a planet, they search for answers. Who destroyed Detya all those years ago? And why? Otherwise cursed to die at 30 without a mate, Raze and his comrades have taken drastic action, destroying their souls and killing the emotions of young warriors to prolong their lives. Raze feels nothing. No love, no hate, no fear. Until he meets Sierra.

A spy on a mission...

Sierra Alvarez has a lot to live up to. As the daughter of a celebrated general, she's expected to follow in his militaristic footsteps and rise through the ranks of the Sol Defense Agency. Except Sierra is no soldier, her talents are best used for sneaking and subterfuge for Sol Intelligence. But when an off planet mission gets out of hand, she'll need to use every skill she has to work with a mysterious, sexy warrior to save dozens of lives.

Two worlds collide...

Raze and Sierra shouldn't fit, but every minute spent together tells them that their chemistry is too hot to ignore. But they'll need to fight pirates, their people, and the vast distances of space to find a way for two lost souls to become one whole. Can a man without a soul find his mate? And is that bond enough to heal wounds that run deep?

Soulless is the first novel in the new Detyen Warriors series. This takes place in the same world as Mated to the Alien. Each Detyen Warriors novel can be read as a standalone and there are no cliffhangers. Enjoy feisty women, intense men, fated mates, and hot relationships.

Fantastic Alien Romance

Loved the characters and the story, very well developed world and very immersive. High action and at times pretty funny. Lots of heat too! Loved the narrators too, both really brought the story to life. Can’t wait to listen to the next one! I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Soulless

This book was fantastic to listen to! The dual narrators fit together seamlessly and the male narrator did a great job with vocal inflections to portray the soulless warriors. The story was engaging and filled with action.

Great

I really like the narration style of these narrators. If I had one complaint, it would be the abrupt ending. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

NOT A STANDALONE!

I received this wonderful audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Let me by first stating that I have never listened or read anything by Kate Rudolph and Starr Huntress. I am a huge fan of Sci-Fi romance and I figured that I should just go ahead and drive right into these two works. It also helped that Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill who narrator basically ALL of one of my favorite authors, M.K. Eidem's, books. This audiobook already had twenty million pluses with it.

When I got into the story I realized that it is a good book in its own right as well. I loved Raze and I loved Sierra. The fact that this book had two very strong main characters made me happy. Even though the main characters where great the secondary characters were not. I disliked most of the women in this story. I know as a woman that sounds bad but they just criticized and made Sierra and Raze and all of the Detyen Warriors fell like they were useless.

I understand that some of the women had horrible things happen to them however the way they acted was not needed. Also Sierra's work colleagues were just horrid. I know that they had a mission however it seems as though they dislike Sierra and I want to know why? It just seems as though there is something underlying between the three women.

Even though the description says that this can be read as a standalone do not believe it!! IT IS NOT A STANDALONE. IT WILL NEVER BE A STANDALONE. PLEASE DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF IF YOU JUST WANT A ONE BOOK OFF. IT ENDS WITH A CLEAR SETUP FOR A BOOK 2!!!

Interesting Story

This is the first time I have listened to these authors to me I can tell where stop and the other starts. ....I like it don’t get me wrong...but I believe this should have been at least an 8 hour book. This is missing back round details about the main characters. To me there are a lot of unanswered questions. I might get the next one just to see if some of the them are answered

A Different Take on Sci-Fi Romance!

This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author and I don't think it will be my last! Raze gave up his soul in order to live as Detyen's who don't find their mates die at young ages. This was their way to bypass that. And once they have given up their soul-they have no feelings and shouldn't be able to find their mates. Sierra was saved by her father and now feels the need to help others in the only way she knows how. What she doesn't expect to encounter on one of her missions is an alien who doesn't seem to feel anything, until he touches her. And then he feel's everything! I definitely enjoyed this book! There is a lot of action right from the start and it just sucks you in and keeps you wanting to know more! My only drawback is that while I guess technically it could be a stand alone-it really felt more like it ended with a cliff hanger as it completely sets everything up for the next book in the series.

I was a little iffy on the way the narration went for this one, but once you get used to it-it was great! The narrator's kept a steady pace and there wasn't any extremely strange accents, which always tends to get on my nerves. Well worth the listen! #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Whatt?!? Why you do this to me?!?

Cliffhanger!!
Wow! She did it to me. I wasn't excepting a cliffhanger.
This was a great listen. It had everything I was looking for in a good audible.
It took sometime to get use to the narration but once I did it flowed from there.

I enjoyed the story I just wish it didn't have a cliffhanger.

Good narration and story

While I enjoyed this audiobook, I hope that the next book starts where this one leaves off, as it left few thinks up in the air. The concept of having ones soul removed was a bit disturbing, as I have very different beliefs, but overall the plot was entertaining and fast moving. Narration was very well done. Looking forward to the next book in this series to tie up all the loose ends.
