There has been much debate over how we got here, and what to do next, and bestselling author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt is at the white-hot center of that discourse. “You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

Beautiful!
This book was the soothing balm my frazzled soul needed. As someone constantly buzzing with anxiety and overthinking, Ive been kind of desperate to find my inner peace and hit the reset button -this book provided the perfect roadmap for using ancient sonic traditions to heal.. Following the simple yet profoundly grounding exercises, Im learning to tune into my chakras and let go of mental chaos through breathwork and meditative listening. It was so cool to discover how certain harmonies could physically shift my vibrational state - like an energetic deep tissue massage! While I'm still very much a work in progress, this holistic guide has become my go-to for hitting pause on life's relentless noise. Thank you!

Sound Healing
With a new diagnosis of CRPS, I have been looking for alternative options to medication. I enjoyed this introduction to the healing power of sound, liking the introduction and appreciating the author citing academic resources. Having learnt frequencies that may help with my pain and chakra balance I feel I have a place to start from with useful information on how to integrate these techniques into my schedule. Well worth listening to.
