About this listen

Rosie is fairly certain that there's nothing wrong with putting a love spell on a foreign prince. At least she hopes there's not, because such a drastic measure is necessary in order for her to ensure that the perfect fairy tale romance she's dreamt about her entire life includes her own prince charming. As the heroine in her story, she won't be deterred by well-meaning friends, royal betrothals, hungry dragons, or the intriguing guard who stands in her way.

Luckily, Rosie has access to an enchanted bakery and a recipe book of spells, one of which will ensure she'll win the royal heart she desires. Unfortunately, no story is complete without a few obstacles, and Rosie's comes in the form of a most formidable foe - a stoic guard whom Rosie may or may not be developing feelings for, one who is committed to thwarting her at every turn. But nothing will stand in the way of Rosie's happily ever after. After all, what harm can a simple love spell do?

Poor character but amazing story

I loved the main love interest and the story over-all but the main character wasn’t exactly my favorite. I just didn’t like that she was so focused on herself that she couldn’t see how her shallow views were hurting those around her. I loved the resolution though and she started making a comeback for me at the end of the book.

An old tale told differently but predictably

This tired old wore out version of this story has been told retold and rewritten till it’s s sad tale with no imagination it’s only redeeming quality is the performer. The time I listened to this was a waste of time and hours I’d love to be able to get them back don’t waste your time

Loved this book. No cussing, no inappropriate content, so you can enjoy this book with anyone. It was a magical enchanting story with a nice little twist to keep ya on your toes! The narrator did a lovely job of making the story believable and keeps your attention

Good Storyline. Bad Main Character.

While I absolutely loved the storyline, the main character is beyond frustrating! She is so determined to believe that everything is literally part of a fairytale that it's almost like she think she can get away with anything because she wills it so. She refuses to listen to any kind of reason but her own and is quite honestly pretty selfish up until the end. She doesn't seem to care what happens as long as it results in her happily ever after. So, if you have an enormous amount of patience for characters stubborn to the extreme, I would recommend this book because despite how frustrating the character is, it is still a swoon worthy romance.

Main character irked my soul

I wished Rosalina could fall off a cliff and since it is a magic based book, a new heroine would take her place. One that is not so selfish, delusional or narcissistic. I should have listed childish first. I wonder if the author meant to create such a dislikable character. If so, she has some major skill in that regard.

Good

Definitely was a good story but I really wish to have heard more on the magical parts like their background history. The history on how they can bake magic and what kind of world they live in. But still a good romance story for sure.

Unlikeable Protagonist

The protagonist is mentally 6-7 years old. I liked the first book, but this one was just.....bad. I didn't make it more than an hour in.

UGH If only Rosie had gotten eaten by a dragon!

This book was total udder nonsense from the beginning. This girl sadly lives up to every joke ever told about a “dumb blond” and not in a good way. I won’t go on and on about how dumb she was or how much I wanted her true love to pack it in and run far from her while he still had a chance…thankfully it was a free book. The only reason I finished it was I was wondering if they would tell some details about the the character that is Ned to know for the next book. Now that I’ve finished it and that was not the case. I don’t believe I’ll waste a credit on the next book. Maybe if it goes on sale. I did like the first book. Yes there were parts that were far fetched but it was easier for me to go along with because I liked the characters….I feel bad for the guy she ends up with he seemed like a nice guy.
