About this listen

When Spurgeon speaks, you’d be wise to listen.

The great London preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon had a lot to say during his four decades of ministry at the Metropolitan Tabernacle. And beyond his mighty voice, Spurgeon’s pen churned out countless words of biblical interpretation and Christian wisdom. These words can still encourage us today!

I bought this book at TGC 25, as I felt something of a stirring in my soul to grow in prayerfulness. My desire was both to seek out the specifics of the Bible, but also be encouraged through the thoughtful work of others.

If you are looking to have your heart warmed to prayerfulness, this is a book for you!

It has been well modernized, and is both an easy read and an easy listen.
