Out of the fire, and into...

Alliance Navy Commander Grayson Stone is a prisoner. His encounter with the alien invaders is behind him, a reckoning years in the making ahead.

War in the galaxy is about to explode in a way he never imagined. The fate of humankind rests on a razor’s edge.

He won’t remain idle. One way or another, he’s determined to escape. To send warning of the imminent assault and sound the call to this new war.

To save humankind. Or lose everything.

An exciting continuation!

Star Kill continues where Star Fire left off with Commander Grayson Stone. Trapped with the Commie officer can the two of them really work together to warn humanity about the Banshees?

Perfectly narrated by Jeffrey Kafer Star Kill helps show a different part of the sphere and the people affected by the war between the Commune and the AoP. M.R. Forbes continues his fantastic world building throughout the story.

With great characters and an intriguing story that leaves you craving the next installment in the series. Star Kill is a must read if you love sci-fi.

Forbes has done it again!I

I have enjoyed every book I have read and will eventually own them all. I enjoy the characters and how they get out of the predicaments of war they are often thrust into.

I also enjoy Jeffrey Kafer's naration. He has a voice I can listen to all day.

WHY?

Why didn’t you combine Books 1& 2?
Why didn’t you combine Books 3& 4?
Both combinations would have worked well and the lengths of only two books would have been in the range of 14 hours.
The listeners would have used two credits instead of four. I love the books, but am disappointed with your choice of releases.

A stellar sequel!

just as gripping, exciting, and action packed as the first book; Star Kill doesn't disappoint whatsoever. Very much looking forward to seeing how Odin Long knife handles the imminent Banshee invasion.
As always with M.R. Forbes the sci-fi elements are vividly imagined and the technology as advanced and interesting as possible. Never a dull moment and fast paced as per usual.

So close

So close to surprising me on the plot. Let’s be clear so far this story is good but a bit shallow. The plot once laid out is predictable. The hanger scene I thought was going to be a twist but alas just another running gun fight.
I’m looking for a really good series. I have nearly 500 titles in my account, things are getting leaner. This story will keep my busy until something better comes along.

Simply Amazing!!!

What a roller coaster ride with more character development and, just a hint, of continued mystery and some cool plot twists. Highly recommend this series, whether in print, on Kindle or on Audible!! Can't wait for Book #3 to come out!!!

A stellar sequel to the interstellar tale

Where Star Fire was a little slow to start, Star Kill hit the ground at sprint and never slowed down. Picking up direct from the end of book one, we are again given a view of our Alliance and Commune "heroes" as they seek out aid to warn their governments of the Banshee threat.

The story stays gripping, even during the more relaxed events, as Forbes masterfully paints us a Sci-fi masterpiece. Character development is top shelf, and the introduction of new characters is done well, especially with the unexpected little hero of the story, a personal new favorite character I hope we see more of.

As was in the first book, the narration is fantastic, which was expected with the role not being changed. I wish I could find a fault in this book, as I dont want to sound like I'm just giving lip service, but I honestly cant. I loved every second from "cover to cover".

This series is a must have, and M.R. Forbes is quite possibly the finest sci-fi author you may not have heard about before. A true 10/10 all around

I'm Losing My Patience

I'm wondering if the previous reviewers are relatives of Mr Forbes. Yes book 2 does continue from where book 1 left off but that's the only connection I see to book 1. A 6 hour audio book and 4 and a half into it as I write this review and so far very little of what I've heard actually adds to the story in book 1. So far just a series of scenes that are overly drawn out to create "fill". I'm getting the impression that the author is hoping this will turn out the be a cash cow series that he can stretch out.

I really hate being so negative since after the disappointing cliffhanger ending of book 1 I really expected the follow up book to be something I could feel good about...not the case. I'd love to see the return of "stand alone" books or maybe even a trilogy once in awhile but so many authors now are writing never ending stories filled with endless dribble just to fill time with just enough "story" to hopefully sell the next book.

On the bright side Jeffrey Kafer's narration is stellar as usual and is the only reason I'm going to finish the book. I seriously doubt that I'll blow another credit on a book 3.
