This collection has Parts 1-3 with each part consisting of two books. I appreciate having it all together and I felt compelled to listen to the whole thing before moving on to Part 4 which just became available.
What a great value, 41 hours of space adventure, battles and a little romance thrown in for good measure. oh for I mention treachery and betrayal?

One of my favorite series!

If you love military SciFi like I do, this collection is for you!! Tad Thatcher is a terrific character in whom I became really invested over the course of this series. Here are 6 volumes comprising a non stop thrill ride of heroics, Naval fleet action, treachery and Marines in combat. Get this, you will be happy you did! Top notch

Great Military SciFi

this was fine if you like standard military space opera that doesn't stand out or introduce any interesting new ideas, writing starts out cringy but gets better.
Boyett is, as always, really good at this type of story and kept me in until the end

mediocre story fluffed up by good narration

Struggled listening to it. Monotonous narrating with a somewhat boring story. It's like the dollar store version of star wars. If I were able to return it, I would. I honestly don't think it's worth listening to.. Hell, I didn't even finish

Eh. It's below average, honestly.

Started out really good halfway through started getting boring and predictable the super genius tactical guy kept making really stupid blunders it didn’t make a whole lot of sense

Has good start

I really enjoyed the book, but I think the end could have been a little more exciting like the rest of it.

Awesome, but...

The box set overall was interesting and kept my attention throughout. I would recommend listening to it.

Well written interesting and good narrative

The writing is pretty good for a space battle “epic” with significant pulp fiction overtones minus the bawdy scenes so prevalent in modern writing. The narration is also quite good. I recommend it.

Quite good.

i’ve noticed a trend in Scott’s books where there is a wealthy woman or a woman with a lot of power like a CEO & he writes them as this Mary Sue character. Almost i mean, they do have some flaws but some of the idealistic behavior is cringey. Not because that behavior is bad but like people in these positions would not act this way in real life so it just feels a little juvenile at times lol. Still love these books, that’s really my only criticism.

Rose..because she’s rosey

overall storyline of warfare in space mimics the 18th century battle of global dominance. The European kings replaced by Corporate CEOs. I know its fiction, but couldn't get past why Corporations rule in the future. Especially how on Frontier corp advocate of ancient US democracy. Corporations with CEOs are essentially dictatorships, yet somehow advocating fighting for democracy. Really the core the story and made no sense. So gave-up finishing the book.

corporations control societies
