Publisher's summary

I’m obsessed with the game.

I spend so many hours playing that I dream about dangerous missions on other worlds...and my gorgeous in-game training partner, Kassius. That is, until I win. I beat Starfighter Training Academy.

But is it a game? Or alien software designed to recruit new, unsuspecting soldiers for a war in another star system? Because when my hot-as-heck alien shows up at my workplace demanding I leave Earth and travel to the Vega system? What? When he informs me it’s my duty to fight Queen Raya and the Dark Fleet? Claims he wants me as much as I’ve craved him? Let’s just say things get crazy.

Facing the truth is never easy, but when I arrive at the Elite Starfighter base, I learn that Kassius cheated the system, hacked into the game, and lied to everyone on two worlds to make me his.

Now who’s obsessed?

Entertaining read

I enjoyed this one. It was interesting and a great follow up to the first book in the series. I loved getting to see Mia and Kassius come together and figure things out. Mia is great at what she does and Kassius is as well. He has made an enemy and they are adjusting and having to deal with what is being thrown at them. I loved Mia's attitude and her fight. She refused to give up and give in and she had what it took. I loved how Kass and Mia blended together and took their relationship to the next level and worked the problems they were given at the same time. This story was entertaining and I loved the play in it. I am excited for Lily to get her story and see all the women united.
The narrators did a great job with the story and the characters.

A creative take on the sci fi romance

Excellent character development and lots of adventure. This is something different for the genre that I really enjoyed.

Epilogue

I loved that the characters received praise and cheers from the civilians they protected. Mia was shy and so surprised by the responses of passerbys.

Dumb Lead Female

Nothing worse than a weak woman who doesn’t defend herself or her partner. Not sure I’ll finish this one.

more cute sci-fi erotic romance

The beginning of this book starts out great with a check-in on the earth girls and a very unique origin for our guy. There's intrigue and drama and it's all quite exciting. Unfortunately some things just started getting.. repetitive. Of the 3 books- this one def wins the award for most smut. lol.
At the opening of the first book, Avery Reid does an excellent job of distinguishing the 3 future fem mcs who are American, German, and British. After that intro, I was so looking forward to books 2 & 3 in the accents. It comes an goes.
Also Tor Thom just doesn't really bother distinguishing between the male mcs. :/
