About this listen

Known simply as Savannah, a beautiful face on the covers of glamour magazines, Savannah Graham has the perfect life...or so it seems to the world. Behind closed doors her reality is far from perfect. When a person she should be able to trust threatens her, she returns home to Blue Ridge Valley, the only place she feels safe. The valley is also where he lives, her first and only love.

Adam Hunter stepped out of Savannah Graham’s life nine years ago so she could follow her dream. She was his first love, and there is still an ache in his heart for what he lost every time he sees her face on the cover of a magazine. Now she’s home, needing protection, and he can’t refuse. When the danger is over, she will return to her glamorous life. So she’s not the only thing he has to protect, he also needs to safeguard his heart.

Best of the series

I was concerned that I would hate this book because the heroine was a weak pushover in the previous books. I was surprised when Savannah grew a backbone.

I loved the narration.

Excellent Series

This was the third book in the BLUE RIDGE VALLEY series. I'm still unsure which one I liked best! They can be read/listened to as standalones, but together they have made an excellent series. The characters are wonderful! I really want more of the people and the area of Blue Ridge Valley. I'm hoping Senator Lucas get a story! I'm about to start reading about his sister, Taren, and Dax! I enjoyed the books and I'm loving the audiobooks!

Rita Fleur and John-Pau Mordrake were great narrators. They both have easy to listen to, smooth voices. Sound-wise, they're my favorites in this series. A few times I got thrown out of "the movie in my head" when "the voice" didn't switch between characters. I need to follow more closely when that happens. Overall, they performed wonderfully.

A wonderful finale for this series

We are back in the Blue Ridge Valley and the group of childhood friends that are still close and have endured their share of ups and downs.
Nine years ago one of them, Savannah, left town to become a famous model. But she also left behind her first and only love. She thought he didn’t love her and left with a broken heart. Little did she know , that because he loved her very much , he let her go to pursue her dreams.
Both were heartbroken without realizing they had been manipulated.
Now Savannah needs help and money to escape someone who wants to harm her and possess her, and Adam, the one she hasn’t forgotten, is the one she calls for help.
Their story was filled with a manipulative mother and agent, misunderstandings, broken hearts, trust issues and in Savannah’s case, lack of confidence and self-love. A reminder that what you see isn’t always what’s real. And quoting the author there is “darkness in a dream world”.
A story about finding yourself and in doing so, finding that second chances are within reach.
A good ending for this series. If you have read the previous books and/or listened to them, you’ll get a chance to catch up with the other characters. If you haven’t, I encourage you do pick books 1 and 2.
I had read all the books and I must say that listening to the books in audio form, brought them to life.
These narrators were one of the best in the series.

Savannah & Adam finally

This is the 3rd installation for the series and it didn’t disappoint. The only neg feedback is that I didn’t like Rita Fleur’s male voice. She did great for females but the male’s voice didn’t sound rt.

Savannah and Adam

I have enjoyed this series immensely. This was a sweet journey to go on with Savannah and Adam. I was cheering them on the entire time. The Blue Ridge townspeople are hilarious. I loved it.

Perfect townspeople

I enjoyed the storyline but the townspeople really the townspeople really made this book, who wouldn't love to live in a town like this with friendly people who take care of each other. Would love to see more

2.5 stars. Simple and sweet.

Third in a series but a stand-alone. My first ever by this author. Easy to follow, even without reading the first 2 novels.

Simple, sweet story.

On the one hand I liked that we were told about the abuse Savannah suffered at the hands of her mother and villainous manager, and were rarely shown any of that except for the opening scene involving a knife. On the other hand, some detail was glossed over, and being shown would have given the highs and lows of the story more impact.

Narrators: JP Mordrake = wonderful; Rita Fleur = ok.
