Simple Tools That Help You Get Out of Your Head

Living Fully with Adult ADHD is practical, relatable, and honestly a bit of a relief to listen to. It doesn’t try to “fix” you. It gives you tools to work with how your brain operates, not against it.

I especially appreciated how it handled productivity without forcing cookie-cutter systems. It gave me new language to explain what’s going on in my head and more importantly, what to do about it. Whether you’ve been officially diagnosed or just strongly suspect you’re wired a little differently, this book is 100% worth your time. It's more like a conversation with someone who gets it.

So insightful and helpful

I was about halfway through this book when something clicked, and it all started to make sense for me. That voice inside my head, that voice that has been driving me crazy for years, always telling me that everything I do is wrong, and always putting me down, and being super critical of me now I understand where it’s coming from. I understand the motivations for that voice, and I also understand that I have the power not to listen to it. I can’t tell you how freeing this realization is for me. I feel lighter. I feel happier and I feel very optimistic. Yes, I know it’s going to take time and that I need to practice the strategies they talked about in this audiobook. But something clicked and it makes sense and I am ready to do this, and I am ready to stop thinking negatively and start enjoying my life.
